Mo was always "3 players away," so this is a regression.

I think this can still be considered TFC news, especially since they're paying his complete salary for the rest of the year...

"Julian de Guzman a DP bust? Not anymore"

with some stats about his improvement since moving to Dallas.

I find it funny that TFC TV always had interviews and video prior to every match to talk about the last game and then the upcoming game. There is nothing this time so either they are starting not to give a crap like some other people and figure why bother....or it was a closed session all week long and nobody wanted to talk. Then again maybe they are just really late in posting the footage.

It was always a mystery why JDG did so poorly in Toronto. Some here concluded he is crap or that he lost his skills. That is not the case. His recent interviews revealed a toxic environment for him for most of the time here.

In the comments under the "four players" sportnet article some guy is claiming we are signing Sadi Jalali (Canada U-17 team, striker, FW)

Is he no longer with the Whitecaps?

^ I have no idea. It all sounds a little fishy IMO.

What a joke:
The decision to hire two men with very different footballing philosophies has to be one of the worst decisions by an MLS management team to date. Horror stories from Aron Winter’s reign continue to permeate months after the Dutchman was replaced by current head coach Paul Mariner, who continues to face mass amounts of scrutiny for the damage is predecessor produced. Worse was Winter’s unwavering confidence following lopsided losses – losses he somehow always said Toronto didn’t deserve.
As if all TFC's current problems are a result of Winter's decisions alone. What this essentially says is "Hiring Winter was stupid because he wasn't from the same English school as Mariner".

Oh shit, I just noticed that the article is by Larson. No wonder there's no mention of Mariner's role.

Gotta love the casual mention of horror stories about Winter. Anyone else besides him know anything about these?

^ I'm pretty sure he once asked a guy to pass the ball and then run to an open spot to receive the ball. Can you imagine the horror?

right, right, I remember now. IIRC that guy's name was jacob Peterson and he was indeed quite horrified about being expected to have to read the game.

then there was allan gordon who bitched about all the passing drills not knowing that if they had only improved at it, they wouldn't have had to do it so often!

Klinsman's name doesn't come up much either. Consult, lend your name, rake in cash, leave unscathed. I wish.

Well in all fairness, he does have a point; who the hell does passing drills anymore these days?

On a completely unrelated note...

Notice the ball sticks to the ground. Alan Gordan couldn't do that if his life depended on it. Neither can any of TFC's players right now. The ball is constantly in the air and it all started when mariner came into the lead. Basic football that most players on our pitch can't fucking do.

TFC players complaining about passing drills? WTF?!

I sometimes wonder how in the world some of these guys get paid to play soccer.

^ Well let's not overdo it. Apparently Allan Gordon complained about passing drills. Not sure if anyone else did. Mostly we're just having some fun here.

Sadi Jalali is no longer with the Whitecaps. Heard he is in Toronto, so must be true that he is with TFC. But is he with the academy or signing with the first team?
