With Anselmi getting promoted :picard:does that mean that he will GTFO and/or there will be some sort of TFC FO shake up? I hate to say this but we need radical change AGAIN.

Tough times in TFC fan land these days.

Only headlines I want to see this week are the ones referring to Canada beating Panama on Friday!! :canada:

surely a director of football, or someone dedicated to TFC is warrented.

is there ANYTHING we can do now to prepare for next year?

I bet a lot of RPBs have some excellent ideas about:
management / executive action.
transfers / personnel
formations / in play situations

Everyone knows we dont need FINANCIAL help. . . which in wolrd football seems to be the biggest stopping block to success.

just tweeted my interest in the position of Director of Soccer Operations for MLSE to @MLSEJOBS

let's see what comes of that (I can't do any worse than the guy running the show before me).

Lingerie Football League tickets available on Groupon.

TFC tickets available on Wagjag (and Groupon recently).

Oh no, I see the next ransom packs on the horizon... ;)

O'Dea article in Irish Independent

Really interesting article. O'Dea sounds like a good guy and it's nice to hear that he's positive about the move here and that he had other options and chose Toronto.

Interesting quote:

"I have to admit the money I'm earning is very good," he stresses (although it's not millions). "And the life I'm living is very good

Wonder what "very good" means?

Anyone think he could be a DP next year?

I doubt it, considering the leagues stance on DP defenders. I'd think he'll be on the league max.

^ Perhaps with some allocation tacked on. Some non-DPs are way over $335k.

This is cheeky. Just got this in the email:

Chris
In the next few weeks we will be communicating the 2013 renewal process; in advance of that BMO would like to give all Toronto FC Season Seat Holders a very special offer.
By signing up for the BMO Toronto FC MasterCard and using the card to renew your Season Seat account, BMO will give you the brand new 2013 Toronto FC Home Jersey for free . Be the first to have the new jersey by signing up for this great offer.
Receive the newly designed 2013 Toronto FC jersey (an approximate value of $120) when you renew your season tickets for the 2013 season using your BMOŽ Toronto FC MasterCardŽ*!1
If you don't already have a BMO Toronto FC MasterCard you can apply today at bmo.com/tfc. Once approved, you should receive your MasterCard within 10-15 business days.

Edit: This pisses me off. No reward for just renewing, unless you get a credit card. Fuck off.

I went to the website to see what sort of perks you get for applying for the TFC credit card. There are no perks. Wow. Why in the sam hell would anyone apply for that card? (minus the 'free' kit for renewing your SS)

Sounds like the same deal the impact SSH received. It's more of a tie-in with their sponsor then a promotion from BMO

When you think about, it's a great deal for BMO. If you assume the average person has two tickets then renewals are $600-$2100. They take their cut... 3% plus any late interest? means they are generating $18 to $63+ in revenue. How much will the club sell them the jerseys for? They're pretty cheap at t he national sports sale and that is still with retail markup. If they keep the card and use it more, even better. If not, they at least have your contact details to harvest and sell.

My math may be off, but I'm pretty sure they (BMO) has this figured out well enough to cost them very little to nothing in the end.

TFC will score a profit on this one. Probably get $150 in commission per card. Score! Same old TFC - more focused on making money off of us than actually giving us a decent club.

Same old Impact too then? That's the same deal they announced earlier.
