I dont know what to talk about in terms of the game. We looked ok after 1st half and leading , then once Sporting K.C scored. we went back to our usual bullshit of lottery ball. The stats also dont lie. Having 28.9% of the ball during the entire 90 mins? I dont know about you guys but to me having the ball more often can lead to chances, which could lead to goals being scored. i was having a hard time watching the game, because we just looked so disorganized and lost. I've tried to leave my Winter bias aside for this coach, but my suspicions were right about Mariner not being the right coach for this team. His track record should have been a red flag from the get go.

The thing i liked about Winter was his connections to Europe. But also his playing career. The guy played for teams like Lazio, Inter and Ajax. Mariner played in the english league his entire career. and out of those clubs the biggest Mariner played for was Arsenal. Im not trying to take anything from the english league. Im just simply saying that Winter had the connections for players that mariner does not have.

I have always wondered what could have been if he was still coaching, and we got o'dea and built up our back as we needed, and had Plata, Soolsma, and potentially Frings still with the club. ive written off the season just like everyone else and while Winter critics were talking about how we were sold on the "total football" experience, what about those who are behind Mariner? we were sold on the "players" coach personality of Mariner. Last time I checked throwing a player under ther bus for your own stupidity does not show you are a players coach. in fact one could argue that he claims to be a players coach so he could use em as a scapgoat for his idiocy.

LA - VAN was a decent game to watch. Funny, this season, when I tune out TFC games I enjoy MLS much more.

But, back to the witch hunt. They are all witches.

You've just got me stoked to see what they REALLY have to say now.

They've got to do it soon. It should be this week. I'm putting on my Canada kit for Friday and grabbing the popcorn and waiting for Toronto FC's renewal email.

This is gonna be creative.

They need to follow Montreal's lead with a price decrease. If they don't all hell will break loose.

They need to roll prices back to year one. That's the only chance in hell they'll be able to sell 10k+ seasons.

This is just down right awful and disgusting stats to look at.

I don't know how much longer ML$E have to wait to clean house. They should just fire Mariner (and rest of TFC FO for that matter) now before he does any further damage to this team.

Mariner single handily putting this team back in few years. He completely is destroying this team and fanbase in process.

I couldn't agree more. Both Halls should not be starters.

That was Sunday league goaltending. Both Halls (Jeremy & Freddie) should never see the pitch again after tonight period.

On a side note Weidman has played quite well along with Ryan Johnson

I never thought I would ever say this, but Jeremy Hall is probably our worst player ever..worse than Andy Iro! And yet Henry can't get time from him. Next year I am more concerned about Mariner ruining and alienating our Academy than anything else. The sickest thing is Mariner doesn't have an authority figure over him. I mean he does, but not really.

The only time i've seen possession this low in my entire life was an A-League game in which Melbourne Heart had 9 men for 60 minutes (and got a draw out of it).

.. and can anybody tell me why Rongen is working with Dunleavy ?

It's as though he's running damage control for Mariner, praising the individual players.

How stupid do they think we are ?

I think Rongen is preparing for his post-TFC management career. I predict he and De Klerk will both be out at the end of the season.

Its why Rongen is also doing work with the new Fox Soccer Report too.

Nick Dasovic redeux. Just shows you how this organization is run as a shit-show at all levels.

People with no future should be shown the door, not hung out to dry until their contracts expire or they quit. Gives credence to the theory that MLSE knew Winter had done enough to be fired much earlier but were basically waiting for him to quit because they were too cheap to package him out. When things got really bad, their hand was more or less forced.

I don't think it is a theory. Mariner's contract extension was leaked on May 3rd. Brennan replaced de Klerk in early May and Mariner joined the team in training at the same time. Contracts don't just get made up overnight, this had to be in the works in April. Mariner took over in June. (after Winter went 3-2-2 all matches in May).

This either says they were trying to force him out OR are just too ineffective to actually make a decision in a timely manner.

Thanks. No matter how badly the team lets us down on the pitch, I'm always impressed with our efforts on the interest.
