He's the Dutch Danny Dichio, or 3D.

In a season that has been extremely bleak to date, this guy has grown to become my favourite player on the team. Gets the job done on the pitch, like no striker we've had in a while. Plays every game with heart and fire, like Dichio (his celebration after the late goal in our last game was awesome). And off the pitch, he's not afraid to tell it like it is.

As a piece on a better performing team, I think this guy would be getting all kinds of attention. I'm happy he's here.

So have at it, gents. What do you like about the Koov?

i love his straight to the point interviews - they are real and refreshing

it's great having a big technical guy in the centre who controls the ball and can put it in the back of the net

hope he can play here for a few more years

I think it was the first time he came on against Dallas last year, we were down 1-0 late in the game and out of frustration he took a hard shot from 40 yards forcing Hartman to push it wide of the top corner. I hadn't seen anyone in TFC kit make an attempt on goal like that before, you could hear the collective "holy shit" from the stands. That's when I got my hopes up and thankfully Koevs has delivered.

I got to see his first goal in a TFC shirt in a away game in KC.
We ended up losing the game 4-2 but he and Frings looked like men among boys.

His stats speak for themselves, the man finishes goals.

He simply has a knack for being where he needs to be to get the garbage goals and does a great job of challenging for balls in the air, not to mention the good touches and quick releases that a slower man like himself needs to get the goals....

I hope he sticks around for some of our better years.
