I don't know where atmosphere rankings are. But Chicago would pretty much be up there. I was not in the RBP section, I was pretty much 11 rows up near the midfield. So I could hear the Section 8 guys bang'n away. They have an extremely organized drum crew. TFC came to life when we scored but, but the Chicago fans know the game. Night and day compared to our Columbus road trip. (Sadly same game result, but that's not what this thread is about). All that stuff about soccer moms and unkowledgeable fans I don't think applies in Chicago. I think the stadium looked full, because I was underneath the 2nd level and I could not see if it was full or not. 15,000 of 20,000 seat stadium, not bad for a night MLS game. How did it look on T.V.?

fans sounded loud in the first half but the Chicago fans were pretty much silent all second half - at least that's how it sounded on tv. Only woke up when they scored.

who cares about their atmosphere, we all know chicago has good fans, we should focus on improving our atmosphere

we should also focus on winning a game or two.

I have to say at times we could hear TFC fans over Chicago's, pretty sad when you consider we had 300 peeps there

Didn't hear a single TFC chant on the broadcast (FSC). They did show a few camera shots where our people were clearly singing, so I think it is safe to say they didn't have any microphone close to our folks.

How many tfc fans were at the game? I heard about them having to be escorted to and from their seats, i guess MLS is the new Eredivisie!

i heard TFC fans chanting a number of times on Sportsnet.
but ya, the mics were shit. The best North American mic'ing seems to be CBC games at BMO. Those CBC toronto techies know their shit.
The CBC Montreal guys don't.

^^^^ they took the camera and mic from our section in the first few minutes!
i believe they were worried about swearing

also keep in mind, certain teams like to target TFC games as games to improve their atmosphere and raise it up a notch. Something about being outsung doesn't sit well with fans regardless of where they live.

Our section was great. I think overall we did a solid job. GJ to everyone, and special thanks (like always) to the sometimes frustrated drummers and people trying to coordinate :D.

11 away games?!!! Who are ya? Bill Gates? No not our support. Our support is always great. I just got a picture painted of other MLS teams as a bunch of soccer moms with kids attending games. That was confirmed at Columbus.

I was in Section 109, row 11. I was opposite side of the TFC bunch, and near midfield.

At that time, I was at the Duke.

Later that night, I was trying to pick up Toronto girls... in Toronto.
