Morning D!

With Henry's play at the Olympic Qualifiers I think he's earned himself some first team minutes. Maund so far has looked like he needs more time to bring his game up to the MLS level at CB. On Wednesday he was brought in at RB because of his recent form at CB. I think with all the defensive injuries TFC has Henry will be that 3rd CB when he comes back. At least until we get healthy.

Good piece on supporter group culture.

Looks like the Southsiders have similar issues to a lot of NA groups.

How come CONCACAF allow CCL games to be played there if it's so dangerous?

LOL @ Yank making empty threats.

If I actually die supporting Toronto FC - I wonder if they'd put me on the wall of honour...???

I have no other legacy in life - might be worth it...

Excellent piece by Fletcher - admirably stayed away from the easy-headline-grabbing punch up sentionalism and as usual provided an analytical run down of the game from a tactical and football perspective. His Waking The Red blog is turning into a very good little read for nayone who knows much about football.

I think the decision on who gets appointed ref for the second leg will have a huge influence. If we get a strong, disciplined ref like at BMO Field, we have an excellent chance. If we get a weak referee that buys int oall the diving and is swayed by the inevitable baying of the crowd down there, then we're wel lbehind the 8 ball before a ball has even been kicked. The fluctuation on refereeing standards is so frustrating. Still, at least we're in it and they're two guys down for the return leg. COME ON YOU REDS!!!

Where is the final anyway?

So basically they are having the 'usual' problems. Not all that surprising given the numbers they mention.

A few years ago I posted an article about an Ultras group in Russia and the challenges they have. Even though they encounter most of the same problems as RPB it was dismissed because it was said that "We are not an Ultras group". I'd be interested to see what that group is up to now. I imagine the discussion they had with themselves about support and their group helped them improve things.

Interesting article with survey from MLS Managers. Drogba most wanted as DP, Seattle's CenturyLink Field rated as toughest away match. BMO Field not listed
