Striker still out with concussion, won't play in game against Fire

Toronto FC will again be without Danny Dichio for Saturday's MLS game at Chicago Fire. The striker missed Wednesday's 2-2 tie in Vancouver with a suspected concussion, and is still getting dizziness and headaches. Dichio will stay in Toronto this weekend instead of flying to join the Reds team. The squad arrived in Chicago on Thursday evening straight from Vancouver, and trained on Friday. Olivier Tebily is still ruled out with an ankle injury and Todd Dunivant is recovering after surgery on his fractured ankle. Jim Brennan is available for selection again after missing the Nutrilite Canadian Championship game through suspension. Toronto FC at Chicago Fire is live on Rogers Sportsnet at 8:30 p.m on Saturday.

Concussions are scary these days as (appropriately) teams and players are very weary about coming back early from them and there is no set timetable for returns. This is yet another reason that we need to fix the striker situation Asap. No more waiting, now is the time because we're gonna start losing more and more points we can't get back

Fuck, TFC will have 10 men for the full 90 again! Well wishes Danny D, we hope you will be back v MTL.

As we know from Sutton's problems last season, head concussions are really tricky and can take possibly months to recover from... The impetus for a new quality striker has to be considered even more urgent now by Mo..

yea, but if its raining then it will give Smith less traction and he might trip over the ball a few more times then normal.

...
Dichio's out with a concussion, Cunny's out on yellow cards (the useless fuck).

I assume this means we start Smith up top? Or the kid?

Cunny's out on too many yellow cards, so it'll have to be Smith or Ibee.

Cunningham plays, TFC loses. Mo either signs a DP striker soon, or we can kiss this season goodbye.

Smith with Ibee on the bench.

This is the first I've heard about Cunny not starting. I think Ryan1984 got it right. Cunny (1st half) and Jarod and Cunny (2nd half) up front.

Ibee wont touch the field unless its absolutely necessary.
A) cuz of his age and lack of experience and b) cuz we dont want to give Dallas shit.

I am still holding out hope for Cunningham!! I don't think he has had enough time on the field to be fairly judged. Not sure what was in his head against Vancouver other than maybe he did not want to score his 100 away from home against a U.S.L. team?.
Does anyone like him? am I going to hell now for barely sticking up for him?

Playing with cunny is like giving the other team an extra defender. Even if he isnt suspended, he shouldn't play.

Carl Robinson...if we can't score goals, we might as well take out their scoreboard and as many fans as possible.

Where are you getting this? Cunny's not out according to the preview

Start Jarrod Smith and Abdus Ibrahim upfront, with Guevara supporting them from behind. Take out Edu and play only one defensive midfielder (Robinson)...

Does it really matter????

TFC ccould field 15 players and still lose on the road. They have shown no signs of winning on the road. I hope it changes tonight but I'm not optomistic.

that was pretty good, about Robinson taking out the scoreboard. But that would only happen after about 30 attempts.

My bad, bad math. Used to be the rule that yellows in back-to-back games meant a suspension but now I guess you need five. (I'm showing my age here I'm guessing).
