here's my predictions:

> vancity goes up first 20 minutes in.
> rain delay before the half.
> games called off.
> vancity fans fuming.
> game restarts the next day.
> pitch is waterlogged.
> both teams scrap for posession.
> toronto scores first blood.
> ryan johnson.
> both teams have chances.
> fail to capitalize.
> le toux goes down.
> subbed off at "49
> vancity fans fuming.
> another goal for toronto.
> plata serviced from frei kick.
> vancity fans rage boil over.
> game ends 2-nil.
> form angry lynch mob.
> drive down to local stadium.
> force their way through security.
> demand to speak to ownership group.
> ownership group becomes scared.
> locks selves in office.
> fans locate them.
> mob reforms.
> lights torches.
> open the door.
> get on the floor.
> everybody walk the dinosaur.

My thoughts are that TFC first team players will get a run out maybe for a half no more than 45 min. and we win 2-1. Shitcaps are cursed against the beloved Reds, nothing will change!

The ability to overlook a preseason championship game in anticipation of a playoff champions league game in front of 45,000. That's pretty much as good as it's ever been in TFC land. Which is kind of sad actually.

Whitecaps going for Disney hardware against FC

:picard:

Oldtimer

Only half of the 'Caps will be there per Michael McColl:

Vancouver’s squad will split, with half the guys heading to Carolina for Sunday’s friendly against the Railhawks and the rest remaining in Orlando to try and clinch the Whitecaps first silverware as a MLS club.http://www.canadiansoccernews.com/content.php?2873-Depth-Charges

That still doesn't make it all that likely that the TFC academy kids will win this match, it just shows that neither club is taking the Mickey Mouse Cup all that seriously.

19Barrett19
03-03-2012, 09:20 AM
Well I wouldn't say nobody, Shitcaps haven't won any silverware lately mainly due to the fact that they are SHIT! It looks like they are up for this one. They sent their second squad to play the railhawlks in Carolina and the first team plans on destroying TFC tonight. I guess this is the only was the Shitcaps can can beat us in a tournament of any sorts. I best part is, if our second team players give these fuckers a game the victory would be sweet and i would brag about this win for years to come.

It was reported last year on this forum that for all his apparent promise, Winter doesn't rate Vukovic. Hence, why we haven't seen him play with the 1st team in this tournament this year.

Forward Nick Soolsma (suspension) and midfielder Eric Avila (cup tied) will miss the CCL match and instead serve as the most experienced of the group playing the Disney final.

I wouldn't get too high on Vancouver yet. People were saying exactly the same thing last year, saying they'd make the playoffs. Yet they had one of the worst offenses last year and one of the worst defenses. The main addition on offense was Mattocks; the main addition on defense was the Korean dude. But they also have a coach who's green and doesn't know MLS (he'll depend heavily on Robinson).

Vancouver has to deal with the fact that Seattle is still good and Portland, already a better team than Vancouver, has improved. Not gonna be easy for them to make great strides forward when other teams are good too.

It's not that they Whitecaps were bad, they've beaten every other team. Our academy kids are looking quite good. The long-term future for TFC is looking better than ever.

I loved to see how well they've learned the system, there were some impressive flowing plays there.

The one thing that was lacking was a solid goal-scorer. Vukovic didn't really deliver this game.
