totally. 100k free and 1 international slot. I won't what we are going to do with them. Maybe sell the slot for allocation?

Toronto FC announced Monday that single seats are now sold out for its CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal match against the LA Galaxy at Rogers Centre. In seven weeks, the team has sold a record setting 43,500 tickets. Rogers Centre’s capacity seating for a soccer match is 45,000 with a limited number of suites still available for the match.

- I'm not clear what this means. The dome isn't sold-out if 43,500 tickets were sold and capacity is 45,000? Is the meaning here that the single seats are sold out but non-single seats are available - but in that case can't more single seats become available if people buy an odd number of tickets of the remaining 1,500 seats?

Or maybe the remaining suites have a capacity of 1,500? Seems like a lot.

there are 95 suites according to the dome website. so 15 per suite. sounds about right.

Capacity would include suites... which are not sold out.

In terms of singles as well, go to ticketmaster and do a search. You want a seat, they're there.

I don't know their definition of "sold out".

I just tried to search for a single ticket in Ticketmaster out of curiosity for the CCL game and there was one. I know they really wanted to say SOLD OUT but really they should have done it first or at least tell Ticketmaster to lock up the last few tickets so they don't look stupid. Just my opinion.

What's a suite cost anyway?

an event is considered a sell out when you reach something like 95%

Well I guess the "only suites available" claim they are making made me think they were saying 100%. Personally no big deal to me if they want to spin it that way and I knew it was coming because it was a headline they sorely wanted I am sure to start off the season. Music to scalpers ears I am sure as well.

I found singles in the 500s and even in the 100s this am. Sold out? It also looked like Paul B was shilling tickets for the home opener and a few other games on twitter earlier today. Think they might be having a problem moving inventory. Too bad the market reacted like 3 years too late. They should just charge Mo for every ticket not sold.

Before Beckham decided to sign on and was expected to move to PSG, I predicted 35k to 40k. With Beckham, that number is definitely over 40k, but I am not sure you will actually see 45k people in the stadium. I get the feeling there may be some scalpers who will find a weak market for premium-priced tickets.
