Glad to see the ISC out of the gate and getting some profile. Keep it up Boris & Phonzo.

Oh, and thank you, D!

I came face to face with Mo after the Motagua game by Gate 4. I had a split second to consider my options, but missed my opportunity. I am by nature a man of peace, but the thought did cross my mind.

if it means anything - he sold his house a couple months back. Unless he was moving to somewhere else in T.O., which I would doubt, it's safe to say he is outta here.

He's actually living in London, England. I doubt we'll see him anytime soon.

I'm assuming this is the Doctor Evil face he made when offering Julian De Guzman his contract.

Actually he's about to do the wink and the gun while promising DeRo a raise!

on a Mo related note, I was watching the Kris Boyd interviews/press conference on the Timbers site and he shouted out Mo as one of the people who helped him decide on joining MLS.

Mo was a pretty decent player, actually a pretty good player in Scotland the MLS. The man just wasn't cut out to be a manager, and less a general manager.

Personally, I don't hold ill-will towards him. I think it's time we move on and put our energies into the future not the past.

The future is March 7th!!

We're not in this are we? It is NBC and promoting Canadian teams are not their mandate, I guess.

I like it though. At least they are trying to promote the league.

At least they are finally promoting the league without showing pretty boy Beckham's face.

^^

When you think about it, it's actually quite brilliant. They're promoting the league as a league "made by fans for fans". Without having to showoff players, they aren't trying to capitalize on "star power" and instead have focused on "fan power", which in the long run, is more sustainable.

Breaking: the league is dropping the hammer on Houston Dynamo fans for away support conduct at the MLS Cup. No use of banners, drums, etc at away games indefinitely.

The MLS will not stand for these types of shenanigans. They are sending a clear message to supporter groups league-wide that this BS will NOT be tolerated.

It's just odd that they are dealing with it now, instead of more right after the incident. Also saw from some Houston people that individual punishments have been issued in the form of home stadium bans for people identified engaging in the activities.

C) obscene language and gestures by multiple supporters.

Weak.

I have no disagreement with rooting out people who throw projectiles or light flares in stands but I prefer individual punishments to group sanctions. If the Dynamo or the supporter's groups have identified the individual culprits that should be the end of it. In general practice, I can see how this might be difficult to achieve.

However, I do believe that punishment, particularly collective punishment, for "obscene language and gestures" is going too far. I often cringe at the things some people yell-out but punishment for "swearing" establishes a very slippery slope that all supporter groups might soon find themselves sliding down.

Exact same thought, more of a sinking, depressed feeling than heart attack though. They need to be careful with headlines like that

I think they just threw in the language and gestures to make the rap sheet longer and justify what they think is right. The problem with the catching and punishing the people actually doing it is that most drop and run and cover themselves with some sort of cover in order to pull off their stunts.

We had a very similar situation last year when front office put a 3 hour check in time for all flags, drums and banners before every game. Seems the MLS is getting a little more direct in their enforcement.

You wouldn't see us in the NBC commercial because we are pretty much statues when the Star Spangled Banner is being sung. Would be pretty dull viewing if you ask me.
