...Jeff " born off side, and if I'm not I'll kick it straight at the goalie" Cunningham? He has given me more greif than anyone else to wear our shirt, and honestly this season has been shocking, simply shocking, think of the last 2 matches, Pachuca missed a penalty......he is one of our "top" strikers and he can't put away a penatly, worse than not scoring it was a terrible shot, and then last night, offside, then that break...what the hell was he doing? At least Lombardo did not stand with his hands on his hips and look around like him not scoring was someone elses fault. And just so no one confuses this statement, I am not a Lombardo fan, but my point still remains.

I just hope Mo can sucker a team into taking Cunningham when the time is right.

Ok so maybe the penatly was not missed but it was an incredible poor effort from a striker and did not seem to trouble the goalie all that much. I just don't see anyway to defend him ( my opinion ) I had really high hopes for this guy and was excited about it when we signed him but really for the most part all he has given us is tons of "if only's" and "almost's" and that does not win football matches.

cunningham is going to break out, my prediction is he scores in chicago than jumps the fence runs up the stairs and celebrates with the traveling TFC fans in the upper stands.

holy shit look, its another Cunningham thread!!!!

Fact of the matter is, Cunny has scored more than Lombardo. Lombardo had to go. End of.

didn't lombardo ask for his release?

Kickit09
07-10-2008, 05:07 PM
kinda, he asked for more playing time but we all know how that went

Manutd27

I think he did ask for his release, but the point of this post is not Lombardo ( who by the way I do think is rubbish and it was right for us to release him ) but the fact that Cunningham is also rubbish, and taking up a good chunk of our cap, which we could us on someone who knew how to time a run and put the ball in the back of the net. Look I get that people out there might get upset because they like Cunningham, I'm not trying to offend people but to make them really think about it, but I'm have to admit I positive if you tally up his chances to goal ratio it would be shocking, I guess for me last night in Vancouver was the last straw.

I love when ppl rag on Andrea Lombardo...a 20 yr old..saying he had plenty of chances with last years anemic offense and proceed to write him off because he never scored, even though he was desperately unlucky not to have.

Ya, he sure had his chance all right....(insert rolling of the eyes here)

Lombardo's release was the right thing to do. Cunningham also has to go. It's not an either / or thing.

Hey Luca ( if you have curly hair and a dad who is on tv ) I believe we sit next to each other...lol. How's it going? I'm not ragging on Lombardo, but I don't think he would have gotten a chance this season, as he is too far down the pecking order, and he did not produce when given the opportunity ( I know there was not too many but in any professional sport you have to take your chances however small they may be ).

He's pish, utter pish. He should've been dropped ages ago. The worst excuse for a player since Andy Welsh

Outright releasing him is stupid. I can't believe you guys don't think there are stupid MLS GMs out there that will give us SOMETHING for Cunny.

I am sure Mo is working on it. Releasing him? OMG...

Roogsy, let's not confuse things if we could get money or a good player of course I say we should take it, but this post was started in a poor frame of mind ( and I was saying it our of frustration and to make a point ), he is utter usely and is worthy of being just release but I know Mo will be able to sucker someone in to think he is brilliant.

he's still better than lombardo. boo hoo.

The question is, who can use Cunny? KC lost Johnson this year and has been struggling to score goals (not that Cunny will help but maybe they think it will) and New York lost Josey the Pussycat so they might be looking for some depth up front. And both teams are struggling. Lord knows we wont be able to offload him on a team doing well this year, it's not like he is going to put anyone "over the top".

Lombardo and Cunningham were spotted yesterday shoving each other in the line for job applicants at this years royal winter fair. They were hoping to get work in the dog and pony show.

Lame-bardo should-ve been released last year. This year yes, there are others who should be released starting with cunny.

Black lombardo? How lol?

Ibee is Ethiopian, small, 16 and wears 7

Lombardo is Canadian, tall, 21 and wears 20

Ibee is nothing like that hack Lombardo, the fact that you would even compare the two is absurd.
