We've had some good signings this off season and I'm throwing Buchicha into the poll since he hasn't been capped yet and thus, I consider him new.

I voted Lambe. Based on his interview's he seems hungry to play. He plays both sides and should fit right into our existing set up.

Im excited to see what silva can bring. I want to see what kind of depth he can bring into the squad

I went Aceval.

I want us to have a big dominating centre back, like Adrian Serioux was briefly in 2009. Hopefully it'll be either caiccedo or aceval, don't care which really. but aceval also seems to have the free kick ability thrown in as well, so I'd sat he has more potential to be exciting overall.

I'm excited for both Silva and Lambe, but picked Silva for this poll

Silva, although stability in the back will be new and exciting to see

eckersley---caicede-----aceval--------morgan,with this combination---+--back-ups to fill in,we should drop 20 goals against this year.

Isn't it great that we have a choice of players to be excited about? We haven't had that since 2009, and never so early. To be honest though, I'd rather do this poll after we have seen them play a few games.

(that being said, I voted Aceval).

I voted Lambe, speed at the wings with him and Plata... they'll tear this league apart.

Bouchiba, he was supposedly the first big type player Winter brought in and they stuck with him through the injuries so he has to have quality for them to pay him all this time.

Silva + Lambe for me, really interested to see Silva and looking forward to the pace of Reggie.

I think he's only including guys that are signed already. None of the potential Academy signings are included either. (Rumour is that the two super draft picks are already signed.)

It's great to know we have a bunch of options and haven't blown the majority of money we've had to spend on one guy!

I'm excited by Maund's potential. Apparently he has an enormous vertical, good foot speed, good decisions. He might have been underrated by a number of scouts.

I went with Lambe. I'm excited about the prospect of having fast and dynamic wingers on each side with Koevs in the middle. I'm definitely excited about potentially quality defenders coming in, but scoring goals is more exciting then keeping them out in my book.

I voted for him as well, just because I am most curious to see what he can bring to the team after a year of waiting.

Keep Calm and Pass to Silva.

Works for City and hopefully that will work for TFC too.

Word. I don't expect all these guys to be a big success immediately but this should give Winter and De Klerk a lot more to work with.

Vukovich ?

He's a finisher, I watched him in 2 reserve games last year and he netted 4 goals!

Hopefully both Aceval and Caicedo are dominating and we dont have to pick one but im excited to see Reg and Plata be speedy forces on the wings and getting by their defenders.

Talking to Reggie he says Aceval looks good in training

The intentions Reggie has of getting down the wings and putting crosses in to big Kov who has no probs attacking the ball on the pitch and in the air is a good thought

Reggie says Aceval apparently is looking quality and he rates Silva too

Interestingly enough, the February 6 Sun TFC blog has Cochrane saying which players they are most interested in:

ON THIS YEAR’S BREAKOUT PLAYER – WHO TO WATCH…
“Miguel Aceval provides a different element then we’ve had in a little while. He’s flexible where he can play — in the centre, wide left. He allows us to probably do a couple of more things tactically than we’ve been able to do previously … I think Reggie Lambe too. I’ve got high expectations for him. He’s the type of player that fits well in this league.”

Keeping up with a common trend, Cochrane noted that he believes Luis Silva is a player that should be able to step up in contribute while Aaron Maund will need more time to develop into an MLS-ready central defender

http://blogs.canoe.ca/reds/

So Cochrane's view pretty well matches the consensus on this board.

I just hope that Aceval is fully fit -- I guess he had an injury. Is that fully healed; and by when will he be fully game-fit?

Red Rat

I heard that on the interview and I wasn't too happy with it. I hope that he can be 100% or else he can go back home

No doubt that he has a touch and a quality left peg

I can't say I'm "excited" to see any of the new players. I always feel let down when I pick a player to particularly watch, for him to be awful. Or like last season, make huge judgements on the first game - Martina was our new hero after the first home game last season, right?!

I'm MORE excited to see a season ready, fully fit Danny Koev. And very excited to see the second seasons of Plata and Ecks.

if any of the new signings are good, that's just a bonus for me :)

Yes, TFC have never had a good center back pairing. It is boring, but who cares, I want some mean motherfuckers kicking the hell out of people back there.

Aceval looks massive. so does bouchiba. actually so does caicedo.

really i'm just excited to see that we have a actual team before the start of the season. this is a new and interesting feeling.

I'm surprised to see so many votes for Silva. I figured with the way the draft has been going there is less to be excited about every year. Hopefully I'm wrong on this, but I really have bought into the academy as the best way to procure young talent.

first rounders are still good, but once you get beyond that it's tapering off a lot faster than in the past.

It would be one helluva debut for Silva if he ends up as starter on Mar 7 game. One helluva way to get your feet wet in MLS...

Curious about Aceval. If his left foot is indeed the rocket that is promised, and he has some accuracy he could be deadly.

Camargo is training in Orlando. From the times I saw him in the academy games, he's something special.
