mornin d

new kits are wicked ( i didnt like the v ) but i will be getting one of these new ones soon as i find one

bit of a bother with west coast crying about all nat games at bmo especially this comment----" Let’s face it, why should I cheer for the Canadian national team if they never play where I live?”

cause you are canadian maybe

i do think the csa should do something for the west coast supporters though --- it would be great if 2 or 3 thousand could come to bmo and add to the fun

maybe they could charter a few planes and give great deals on the flights

i truly believe if they came to bmo from the west or pq or atlantic canada and felt and joined in the atmosphere they would know first hand why the team and coaches want to play here

i know we have our regional rivalries with shitecaps and limpact but it would be sweet to have united canadians cheering and singing for the boys in red reguardless of your team loyalties this is about our country ---we are all in this together

Couldn't agree more about the new kits. Such an improvement over the last one. And there goes more money out of my wallet.

In 2008, in Montreal against Honduras, i've never been more embarrassed or felt sick to my stomach to be cheering my country on at a world cup qualifier. A sea of blue chanting in spanish. After the game, i was so demoralized that i thought i would never attend another home qualifier for Canada.

But after thinking it over more, i figured that was such a defeatist attitude. I now make sure that i'm at every home game that i can get to and make sure i'm wearing red and cheering my head off. I don't care how annoying i am, i make sure everyone on my address books and mailing lists know when and where the upcoming home games are going to be.

I know it will never be perfect, but i am sure glad that there are passionate Canadian football fans on this board and from the Voyageurs that go out of their way to make sure the word gets out and do their best to make BMO as red as possible. I'm proud and hopeful of a good turnout at BMO this time around.

When BMO was turf, the team chose to play in Montreal and we stuck with it. It's about getting into a comfort zone, playing on grass, maximizing home field advantage.

Yet another shit kit by the CMNT.

I don't know if it's the umbro templates or the crappy NT logo that I just can't over. probably both.

Glad they will be playing in T.O. however I feel it will be up to the supporter groups to make that stadium a fortress.

The new CMNT kits are awesome.

Gerry's point about the CMNT NOT needing to travel the country is B.S. Sure, for the actual qualifying games, pick the stadium that will give us biggest advantage. Is that toronto, not sure?

Your Men's National Team needs to play in city's all over the country. For Gerry to say otherwise is ridiculous.

Why can't the CSA just assign 2000 tickets for away supporters and split them up into the four corners of the stadium? There is corruption in FIFA all over the world, can't we conjure up some so we're at an advantage?

The problem is not playing enough games. We need to play at least one friendly in each major city each year. What's that Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Moncton, St Johns, Halifax? 8 games? We can't get 8 games in a year? So what play in smaller stadiums.

Bah. CSA continues to pooch it every year. This time around we (Toronto) gains, next time we lose.... its the CSA way.

I'm with you.
The new shirts are boring.
And I have never liked the logo.
I looks like little league.

LAUL Over the top much?

17 respected posters claim it to be awesome and 1 chimes in -- absolute shite! xD

You can't please everyone.. but wow, at that sort of reaction.

I saw it and knew I must get my hands on one -- salivating, here.

Love it's simplicity and a return to our Red & White. Nice idea with the embroidered audio wave and I have always fancied the Canadian logo; again, simplicity wins, for me.

Sure, there may be room for improvement (both logo and kits).. but, overall, I'm quite satisfied and it is realistic for our budgets; we're not likely to be cutting edge in the design department, at this stage -- far more important things to pour our limited funds into.

I'm not a fan of it either. Think it needs the addition of a collar at a minimum. Otherwise, it's just a plain kit, nothing special about it.

I am happy that the Petro Canada kit is gone and gone with the black.
This is way better but not the best

Van city just hosted the CWNT and will host the Ladies WC I believe... Why am I to feel sorry for them?

That said, the CSA needs to work with an Airline and maybe a hotel to make arrangements for cheap travel, that would be one of the better ways to draw people in and is a must if we are going to grow support across the nation.

It is a big deal for Toronto and area supporters, the country will be looking to see how many people come out. Hopefully the CSA prices this right.

The fact is the players want Toronto because it is easier for them, less jet lag and especially Euro clubs dont want their players going all over the continent and returning out of form. Its better for the players to get in, train, spend time with their team and return in good status.

O Canada! Same old bleating. Kits, games. I won't sweat it.

The kits: No one kit will impress everyone.
The Match: Wherever it is played there will be complaints from elsewhere.

Even if the team hit every City, Town, Village, and Hamlet there would be those that complained the team never played at the park at the end of their street.

I'll enjoy helping to fill our BMO all year. If in future we miss out here in Toronto I'll understand but do my best to get to it. That one quote from Vancouver is SHAMEFUL. I'm happy that there are many V's in Vanny that will do their best to get here or organize viewings back West. Good on them.

Ticket packages will go on sale this Friday 13 April at 10.00 via Ticketmaster (http://www.torontofc.ca/news/2012/02/canada-play-four-bmo)

Am I the only one confused by this sentence?

What is the typo?

Are tickets going on this friday? or the 13 of April? And are they going on sale at 10am or at 10 dollars?

I'm assuming it's supposed to read ... on sale Friday, April 13th at $10.00 via Ticketmaster.

Strange. With thatv-neck, it kind of reminds me of the jersey worn by the Magical Magyars.

Just because people are respected on a message board for their footy opinion, doesn't mean they should be respected when it comes to fashion sense ;)

I wouldn't say over the top. I actually took some time to look at the kit from different angles, both up close and wide angle photos. What they look like on the players and what they look like on their own. There is no distinction or personality to this kit. The cut is plain, the piping is boring. At least the previous kit had some flare to it.

It reminds me of the last England NT kit. Not only did they look like shit, they also played like it.
