This is the news we here were hoping for and now it's fact: We have the pleasure of hosting EVERY Canada match this year in our house. It's up to us to really outdo ourselves this year!

Starting with the Canada vs USA friendly, we need to carry that into the World Cup Qualifiers.

There will be updates forthcoming about tickets for all 4 home matches. Stay tuned!!

i liked the vukovic story, i hope he can play at this level because he is a very smart player, he finds ways to get into scoring position and is a pretty good finisher.

Funny how the commenters on the CMNT stories always like to put down Toronto saying opposing team fans out do the Canadian fans here. They haven't been to the last several games here obviously because the Canadian fans rocked I thought. We just need more of them to fill in the stadium. Guess it depends on the team too that we are playing too though.

I agree with vukovic, needing to train with and/or play with the 1st team reserves. With the 18yr old though you need to really watch them and take care of them. Look at nicholas lindsay, injury has screwed his career basically...its a big jump from there to here, so I would say be very, very careful.

It will be interesting to see the split of fans during the Honduras game, did they say they will control the away support ticket sales in some way?

It's more like giving options than control based on the past games. There will be a Canadian and Away team designated areas for like minded fans to sit together if they choose but nothing will stop Honduras supporters from buying up alot of the section behind the team benches, for example, if they wanted to organize that among themselves. Hopefully the Canadian turnout is strong so if Honduras support goes to areas like that it is dispersed among Canadian support. Basically you can expect Honduras fans to be throughout many sections except for the south end which will be all Canada. Hope people show up to represent Canada strong. I know I will.

Just marry a Canadian girl, Jonathan, and then you can play ... the solution is really easy! That would count, right?

And don't all CMT supporters agree that petty regional infighting is a huge cause of the disfunction of the CSA? And yet thats the first place they go. We as supporters need to take the higher road if we want the CSA to do the same.

His problem is not Canadian citizenship,it's more how to keep Dutch one and Euro player status and still have Canadian citizenship.

...or Canadian boy (this is Canada, after all). No need to needlessly limit JDG2's opportunities to regain citizenship.

Since it has been publicily announced that the next round of World Cup qualification has three games and a friendly here in Toronto I have ordered 100 more of the RPB Canada scarves. $20 each. Please contact me by PM if you would like to order one (or more). They will be here in April. The last batch sold out pretty quickly.

Yes, but Lindsey's occurred because he wasn't careful, not the team.

^Exactly, Lindsay screwed his knee on a snowmobile, didn't have much to do with his age (other than general immaturity perhaps) or his first team status.

It is however related to the "soccer first" mentality they are trying to instill throughout the teams, which should hopefully make such things less likely.

I was trying to decide if i would go to this game since most of my money will be spent on qualifiers this year, but you just talked me into it.

Donovan and Dempsey on the same field? The world needs our venom to be spewed at them.

Matt Gold has joined the San Antonio Scorpions. Good to see him find a place to play. Best of luck Matt.

A San Antonio native, Matt Gold played youth soccer for the Lonestar Soccer Club, which is now affiliated with the Scorpions. The 23-year-old midfielder played soccer at Ohio State and was drafted in 2011 by Toronto FC. *He played in three matches for Toronto last season and even got a taste of CONCACAF Champions League play, subbing into a match against popular Mexican club Pumas UNAM in September.

We're down to 38 now. MF Michael Green still hanging tough though.

Here are some pre-superdraft comments (and predicted slots) about Michael Green (MF) our first supplemental draft pick @4th overall.

New Mexico

Athletic two-way midfielder that can play in several areas is a bit of a risk, but has great upside. @26th

Has all the physical and technical tools to be successful – his youth national team days are proof – and he has the versatility that Peter Nowak will love. Can he put it all together in MLS? @35th

After spending time as a forward in college, Green’s athleticism and a standout senior season boosted his stock, and he’d be a good backup for Philadelphia’s defensive midfield.

And to add to that: I guess they haven't bothered to play attention to what happens in other cities either. Mexico brought more traveling fans to Edmonton than Canada had at the game. Chile also brought a huge number of fans for the u20 world cup game they played there.

Success is the only fail-safe magic bullet to solve this problem, although the CSA might have to stop marketing like a bunch of 5 year olds at a lemonade stand.

There were thousands of Hondurans in Montreal for WC2010 qualifying, and there will be 1000s here. They will come from all over the northeastern US.

yea i think so to... him being born and raised in canada he should have to much problems getting his canadian passport back.... he might just have to make the sacrifice and drop his dutch passport.... it would be nice to see him play in the red and white at the end of the month (more realistically june 3rd vs the USA)

What would happen if he didn't have that passport? He's already played in Europe for years. Does it matter now?

a lot of european leagues have restrictions on how many non EU players they can have per team
