I dont know if you can say that Avila and Maund will do better than the TFC Academy grads, Doneil Henry and Matt Stinson, but I think it could be possible that we might see Harden and Bouchiba either transfered out or released.

That's how I see it, pending the crucial defensive signings. Silva fighting with Avila for that spot. Johnson rotating with Koevs as CF.

the ccl change is welcome but how does el salvador / honduras / costa rica get two spots and we (canada) still only get one... only Honduras has a team making it through group stage... we should have two next group round and if one of those other countries can make it though then they can get a second spot back... lame... some of those countries don't even have valid stadiums and now with three mls teams and how we've progressed this year it should be automatic...

They get more spots than Canada because we have on 4 professional teams! There is a lot of discussion about how Canada is getting the short end of the stick with the new CCL layout but really Canada doesn't deserve more than we get. We have only 4 professional teams and we do not have our own professional league. Somehow, despite that we went from a half to a full spot every year.

I think Lambe will start on right, Plata on left, and Johnson in the top of the midfield triangle. That's how we lined up against Dallas if I'm not mistaken. Also the consensus seems to be that Avila is still cap tied, although deciphering CONCACAF's rules is not easy.

Yup, Avila is definitely cap tied, so Johnson likely starts for CCL. I also think Soolsma will get the nod over Lambe:

This is a great attacking lineup while hoping that the likely new additions are an upgrade at CB.

Johnson also looked very good when he played there. I was thinking Lambe for speed. I'd like to see them really go at LA in the first 10-15 minutes. Preseason training will probably decide.
