I think Huckerby already said as much...

The fact that Hucks is leaning towards SJ seems to indicate he prefers the Cali lifestyle over winning.

Yet SJ practices on FT almost every day...

I don't think anything will happen with McBride until after this weekend (after we play Chi) and don't expect anything for Huckerby until after July 19th (when SJ comes to town).

Maybe we could trade Huckerby's discovery claim to SJ for Gerba's?

Last night was so hard to watch. Something must be done in the forward position straight away. We are the fucking MLS team in that match up and we played down to their level...just plain crap.

I'd take it. In a fucking heartbeat.

If that's true, then to me he's just looking to cash in. SJ can have him. I'm tired of the bullshit turf excuse from players! The Turf can't be that much of an issue. It's not like we have this long list of injuries, compared to the rest of the teams in the league?

Nope, and remember how many teams play on turf in this league as well as SJ PRACTICES ON TURF 3+ TIMES A FUCKING WEEK.

At least we're like a dog and piss on everything we can to take advantage of the "discovery claim"

Get something good for the guy MO!

We'd have to sign huckerby then trade him, we can't trade the right, only waive it :(

Nope incorrect. We don't have to sign Hucks. TFC can get something from SJ in order to waive it. It won't be for the rights to Gerba, we already know that Mo doesn't rate him.

An international spot and allocation cash would do nice. They don't have anything else to give up as we already have it :D

What's up with gerba?

Actually now thinking back on it, he didn't rate Gerbas based on the salary he wanted. It is going back a long way but if I remember correctly Gerba wanted 300K.

Shaughno
07-10-2008, 09:23 AM
^^ At this point, I'd take Gerba for that if we aren't getting a DP. Give him a year contract and go from there. What's there to lose? It's only $150k at this point in the season anyway.

icecoldbeer
07-10-2008, 09:25 AM
^^^ plus Gerba is only 25. is he as injury prone as hucks?

Shaughno
07-10-2008, 09:26 AM
No sir.

Only problem is for some reason Gerba at the club level is mediocre but when he plays for the NT he is a machine. Try to figure that one out.

Shaughno
07-10-2008, 09:29 AM
Could be the coachs/players he's playing with. You never know.

Even still, club level he's at almost a goal every two games.

S_D, it certainly is a mind f*ck. But if we sign him and he works in our system...then we have the golden ticket!!!

Actually it could be less than that. If Gerba was signed (or anyone for that matter) I am sure Cunny would be thrown under the bus and we may save $$$ on salary if he is one of those player "exceptions" where his salary isn't guarunteed even though it is past the July 1st deadline.

I like Gerba... but do we really think he can improve the finishing that drastically? Don't get wrong, anyone is an improvement over Cunningham... but I am not convinced Gerba is the answer either.

Turf is not the issue. That's just an excuse (always is), dont buy into it.

It's the California lifestyle that Hucks wants. Cant really blame him.
