More details on the Omar Gonzalez injury:

http://sports.yahoo.com/mls/news?slug=ycn-10803189

Assuming the Nuremberg evaluation is correct and Gonzalez is out for only four months he will miss all of the Galaxy's preseason camp and a preseason tournament. He will miss the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) against Toronto FC (http://sports.yahoo.com/mls/teams/tor/).

interesting comment from Winter in one of those articles:

Winter said that he has checked the turf at Rogers Centre.
“I’ve been there,” he said. “That pitch when we were on it was not good. Now they are making the pitch better.”

word is they are laying a new turf for the jays new season...someone also mentioned to me that they are laying down some padding of some sort underneath that is suppose to make it easier on the knees etc...

I really hope so. I took my daughter to Disney on Ice at Skydome last week and we had floor seats. The floor was horrible! It was just cracked concrete. And not small cracks either. Some as big as 2-3 inches wide and all over the place. Even with turf rolled over it the ball would take some weird bounces, not to mention it would hurt like hell to slide on it. It would be worse then playing on BMO's old turf field.
