Sounds like Hutch will be ready for the qualifiers but i don't think he needs to play in Feb.

Very happy Eckers and Plata are closer to returning.

Don't know much about him, other than he's 20 and spent 2 years with Ipswich. PLayed for Bermuda at 16. Could be a project but sounds like his agent is looking for him to get playing time.

Exactly the type of player that would be willing to come in at a good price, something you need in a salary-capped league. The fact that he "trained" with TFC means they got a good look at him (this is not a Mo signing Andy Welsh type of thing). Again, Mariner's connections are coming through. Hopefully he can quickly get into match-fitness.

This will give more depth to our midfield, which is essential as Avila can't play in the CCL.

I thought Avila could play in the nest round as rosters "reset" ?????

The rosters do "reset," but it's been clarified that Avila's cap-tied. TFC can add players, but not Avila, or anyone else who played in the CCL this season for another club.

Hmm, that Lambe rumour's been floating around since the day the season ended. Looks like they may actually be pulling the trigger on it. I think he's a winger. If he's got speed and and can beat guys one on one, it'd be a good signing.

Anyone know what the "discovered player" criteria is? Does it affect the salary cap?

I think each team gets 6 a year and we hd exhausted ours last season. It doesn't affect cap space at all

What's the significance of it?

As an attacking midfielder he's got a very good strike rate with limited action for Bermuda. His listed market value is 300k pounds so he'll have to sign for a lot less to come here.

An attacking mid with speed and a nose for the back of the net, that is very young....hmmmm very interesting. A bit of a flyweight though. He may get bounced around like a crash test dummy in this league once the other teams figure him out.

What would the rules be if we signed a player that has played in another confederations Champions League. Such as if LA signs Droogba? Would he be cap-tied with Chelsea playing in UEFA since both competions lead to the Club World Cup?

Could be Johann Smith redux too, since Smith had similar creds from Bolton.
