Sure...that's when they are "offended" at ticket scalping.

Did a quick search on the company. Not even close to being real scalpers. MLSE disgust me.

The last quote pretty much sums it up!

The best part of that story- the company that's suing MLSE STILL has seasons tickets to both the Leafs and Raps. If that's not the most Toronto sports thing to do ever, I don't know what is.

Also if MLSE seriously wanted to crack down on scalpers why not just ask the police to talk to the 40-50 shady looking people outside the doors of the ACC? Wouldn't that be an easier solution? Also as for a 5% service fee- doesn't ticket master charge a (MUCH larger) fee on top of the ticket price? So that's not profiteering, but if a regular company does it, god forbid. Fucking suits.

Funny...I went to the Bills game at the Skydome (yes Skydome, I refuse to call it the Rogers Centre) and outside were the same scalpers at TFC games, the same scalpers at Leaf games and the same scalpers at Raptor games. Right outside the gates, not even 20 feet from where people were entering. Those guys are unbothered, but screw your own clients? Ah, that's where MLSE shines.

Good profile of Jimmy Nielsen from Sporting KC... I like this quote:

“I had no clue what to expect,” Nielsen said. “I was told that MLS was for retirement, the league was bad and blah blah blah. Screw those people who said that. This is a fantastic league. It’s at least as good, if not better, than the level I came from.”

“This is a company that runs roughshod over its fan base, but that doesn’t change the fact we love the teams,”

Touche.

It's always nice to hear good things about our league, but Denmark is still a good step ahead of our league in my opinion. Nielsen struggled to start for Vejle BK - now playing in the second best Danish league - but has proven to be one of the better keepers in our league. It says to me that the MLS is still a bit easier and at a lower level.

But we're getting close!

I don't know enough about this story to have an opinion. But I've never gotten over getting the shaft from MLSE in 1998 when our seats at the ACC (top of the greens) were miles further from the ice than our seats at MLG had been.

They hosed 1000s in that move, to make room for friends, family and the boxes.
