Do you know when a pro-footballer gets tired...? When the media tells him he's tired...

A pro-footballer in the 70's, who was pouring himself out of the pub the night before a match and hackin' a dart at the half - sure he might not handle 2-games in 1-week...

But today's athletes? They can handle it... Its time the world changes it views/thoughts on what a 'crowded fixture list' actually is...

Shaun Saiko and Matthew Lam were the two guys that I was wondering whether they would do well at the NASL level considering they came from proper academies in Europe. Lam is now playing in Japan of course in the 2nd division.

In MLS the Canadian contingent or lack thereof, is even more worrying. Not a single Canadian has played more than 20 League games for Toronto FC this year, though Coach Aron Winter is at least attempting to bring on youngsters like Ashtone Morgan, Doneil Henry and Matt Stinson.

Yeah, I really wonder how he comes to these conclusions. Never been much of a Reed fan.

What FCE is doing is admirable, but it's easier for them to pull off playing down a league.

I'm not the biggest AW fan, but I'll give him full marks for Canadian content, no questions asked. I think the CSA will be very happy with TFC if AW continues on as coach.

I wonder where Canadian teams ranked in this survey? (This was obvious an American study so I am sure they didn't count Canadian teams lol).

Nope. MLS squads are generally not deep enough.

Example: look at Dallas recently.... also look at LA Galaxy versus New York and how Bruce Arena complained about the team being tired. Shit, Hans Backe even backed (lol) out of the US Open Cup basically by sending reserves... and travelled to Emirates Cup instead.... and look at how that team is doing.

Seattle is probably the only team deep enough to handle both... but that's 1 of 18 teams, run by one of the best coaches in the history of the league.
Nonetheless, Seattle isn't going to win the league.
