Toronto FC finally kicked off the home portion of their 2016 campaign with a solid 1-0 victory Saturday vs FC Dallas.


In this post game video blog I take a look at the roof and how it impacts the game day experience in the South end of BMO Field, I take a another look at the continuing defensive solidity the Reds are showing (this time against one of the better offensive clubs in MLS in FC Dallas), I anoint Jozy Altidore as my Man of The Match & I end off with celebratory video from the stands.

I take a look back at a memorable night against the Impact in the 2016 Voyageurs Cup Semi Final first leg. I also take a look at what might be some questionable mathematics on my part to try and explain the possible outcomes next week in Montreal. I look at what might be a wonderful new derby against Ottawa Fury if they too can close the deal against Vancouver. Finally I plead with Greg Vanney to take the next game as seriously as Montreal did this one.

Good summary. I think there are quite a few of us who want to see CCL football.

Some other thoughts: your backyard looks like a nice place to relax, but those airplanes sure are loud!

backyard is getting pimped out slowly but surely - have a grape arbour/canopy that is really nice when the leaves come in. Can't help the flightpath though.

In one of the editions of FourFourTwo magazine about a year ago, they had listed the average cost of a matchday across all levels of England (ticket, pint, pie, and game programme), and the highest non-PL team was........you guessed it....Brighton, where one Paul Beirne is employed in a similar role I'd guess to what he did at TFC.
Brighton was also tied I beleive for the most expensive game day pint in all of England....lol.....still hustlin', that Mr. Beirne lol.....

Thank you to the Red Patch Boys for your hospitality in Shoeless Joes on Sunday. We had a great time, and it was my 8 year olds first football game!! The scarfs, badges, flags, hats etc that you guys gave to him (and me) were fantastic, and we are very grateful. I think every TFC supporter's second favorite team should be Ottawa? Why?
Just because it's the closest one (until in the new Canadian championship there won't be another closer team, and it's still in Ontario (well, only kind of, it's borderline :) ).

In the future, you should probably add more black to the Fury Supporter outfit to differentiate him from TFC. Now you just need an Eddies supporter and then you can have a fan council, just like the Superfriends.
