Alvaro Fernandez with a goal after a nice Sounder counter. 1-0

That's a strong lineup for Monterrey too, vs a second choice Sounders side.
Lets see if they don't blow it like last year though.

monterrey is turning up the heat... almost a costly blunder by Terry Boss who's otherwise had a great game so far

Shocking. Seattle's mostly 2nd string squad beats Monterrey 1-0 in Mexico
Wow, MLS teams 2 for 2 in Mexico. Whodathunkit?

Seattle makes hist.....
oh right. I am getting to the point where it will be disappointing if we don't win in Mexico.
Monterrey are good for this competition. They put good teams forward, and get good crowds out.

So MLS broke the Mexico "curse" twice in one week (well, can only be broken once. ha ha). A sign of an improving league in relation to Mexico???

Its funny to think that in Central America the MLS teams are such a big draw. It'll be real interesting to see how many people show to see LA.

There are a range of crowds that come out by country and team.

1-0 Colorado. Jeff Laurentowicz with good strike from just inside the box. He's quite underrated IMO

This is why the game in Guatamala was delayed. Seems justified.

Colorado only has 4 starters playing, a draw is good enough but they really could have won this with the full squad. However.. they have some serious match congestion, I think the announcer said 11 games between now and the end of september.

Maybe the professional football players should have taken pitchforks out to raise portions of the turf to drain it.
