It's 1-0 Portland at the 20 minute mark. Vancouver conceded a goal at the two minute mark. Pathetic! :D

I am so envious of the atmosphere the Portland supporters have delivered. They have really been a credit to MLS.

I've been tuning back and forth between a lot of MLS games tonight. If you compare the league now to where it was 5 years ago, it is mindboggling the improvements in playing quality. For all the things the suits get wrong, somehow they have moved things forward.

Now Vancouver scores at the 88 minute mark. Too little too late?

I wish our supporters could learn to sing at the pace of the timber's army. We tend to belt out at a lullaby's pace...

Come on Vancouver! Gotta cheer for the Canadian team.

2-1 Portland, full time. No Cascadia Cup for Vancouver.

It almost seems to me like all their supporters are in one section, whereas with TFC seem to be spread out? Infact I seem to recall a discussion a while back about season ticket holders in all different spots....

Agreed. They actually play soccer now, instead of dump-'n-chase/hail mary longballs. I can actually follow this LEAGUE now, and not just TFC, just as I do with the Jays/Raps/Leafs. :D

It's true. It's almost like it's gone up a whole division in quality since 2005 (when I first started watching).

The "secret sauce" to improving the quality has been simple: more $$$ invested in players, facilities, and coaches.

MLS has been moving from a definite "budget" league to one that deserves more respect.

It's enjoyable to watch apart from the gameday experience.
