SKC vs RSL game should be interesting as SKC is one of hottest teams right now. Keep an eye on FCD vs Allianza game as FCD is leaving 1-0 on aggregate, and the winner of this game will join TFC for CCL group stage

Seattle is down 1-0 on aggregate. They need to win and be careful of the other team potting a goal.

I'm gonna watch that Dallas game tonight, mainly because we may have to face this Allianza (unlikely, but still). Plus it's good to watch Dallas more closely in case they do indeed make our group. Normally when they play us, I'm watching us more than them, if you know what i mean.

It'll also be interesting to see if there's an appearance by Maicon Santos.

I don't think Santos can play, as the rosters would have to be set before the round started.

I do think he can play in the group stage though.

Who would people prefer TFC to play in the group stage? An MLS side that is familiar? Or a central american side that might require long travel and bad stadium conditions? I'm leaning towards Dallas.

Ossington Mental Youth
08-03-2011, 05:04 PM
depends on how shit the central american side is tbh.
I do think we can overcome a shit team in a loud stadium with shitty reffing.
Tougher to beat a great team in front of noone with shitty reffing

rocker

Closest travel and good conditions is best, i think, so that would be Dallas.

But if Allianza isn't that good, it would be safer to play them... cuz you'll get an easier home opponent.

Watch the highlights of the dallas game, there not shit at all. They should of won that game 3-0. I would rather dallas.

I'd rather play Dallas, I know their good but they'll have some crazy match congestion and have their priorities on MLS.

Correct.

Close, he can be added in the Championship Stage (quarter-finals).

Don't really care personally where TFC get their talent, as long as they are quality players. Although I do think Central America is under-scouted.

Ya gotta luv this Portland club, and their supporters, not just the Timber Army, there can't be that many of them.
Kicking the kings of MLS 3-0
Full stadium on a Wednesday night.
People lined up since 10:30am to get seats. (they have gen admission ?) if so great idea.
Were missing that passion at BMO, not from RPB, U-SEC, or NEE.
But fan support in general, shit team for 5 yrs. or not.
Watching this game tonight and last Saturday's brought back the passion of year 1, when we never won or scored too often, but BMO was always a full house and fans from all sections made a lot of noise for our new club.

Good on ya Portland.

That second Marcos Fabian goal is magic. Check it out on YouTube or whereever. The ball seems to just hang in midair for the kick. As good a goal as you'll see this year.

I'm finding lots of reasons lately to start following the Mexican Primera more closely.
