Something about a handball 9 years ago. Funny enough it's an FC Dallas blog, the very team our DP's debut against :D

ball to hand and it was the ref that didn't call it....what was he suppost to do in a world cup game. Say "wait wait...stop the game! the ball hit my hand so give the yanks a PK and red card me please"
If the yanks are so bitter blame the ref.
You don't see (didn't) Leafs fans booing Gretzky everytime he touched the puck but mention Kerry Frasier...

After scoring, late in the game with Dallas pressing, he gets away with a handball on the goal line to complete the win... :drum:

Sounds like the Americans are having just as much problem getting over Frings as the English are regarding Maradona.

Hey it sucks - deal with it.

What text would we use below the pic...?

"...IT AIN'T CHEATIN IF YOU DON'T GET CAUGHT..."

"...I DIDN'T DO IT - BLAME PHOTOSHOP!..."

"...HAND OF GOD II..."

(for Parkdale) "...DEAL WITH IT!..."

Yeah, but Henry is different...;)

The wounds are still pretty fresh. I would hope after a decade or so we'd be over that too...

Not so much the Ghanians because Suarez was red carded and Gyan did not score on the PK.

Do you remember the boards last year? LOL

I've never seen a guy get ripped so much for doing something 99% of players would have done in the same situation.

Not his fault, they missed the PK. LOL

The author has since posted an update saying the website is intended as satire. It certainly seemed satirical to me.

I've seen yanks freaking out on other soccer websites about us signing Frings though, so this thread still stands, haha.

sidenote guys please pay attention to the disclaimer they tossed up after:

Editor's Note: Toronto FC fans that are coming to this site.... this post is a work of SATIRE and should be treated as such. The Free Beer Movement is about building American soccer and Major League Soccer (including its Canadian teams). Read our interview with TFC's Red Patch Boys as well).

I've actually talked a lot with the guys that run the site and they are good lads :). So don't rip on the blog but continue laughing at other parts :)

The USA would've won this game and beaten South Korea 6-0 followed by our 9-0 thrashing of Brazil in the final behind 8 goals by Jeff Agoos and one by Donovan in stoppage time.

I like the idea we have someone who might elicit a reaction from others in the league, players or supporters, even if it was from a long time ago and far far away. Spices up the game.

Also btw, as others have said, Free Beer Movement is a quality guy so I hope nobody is giving him grief.

Yeah that post is satire, even if not that funny. I couldn't resist adding an anon comment about Henry.

I remember watching that game and thinking, 'It's ball to hand...not intentional.'
I' just glad to see we are getting some (as it stands for now) quality players.

The original article was clearly tongue in cheek...I'm just glad that they remember that we're in the league!
