Frei = lip service.

Cliche response.

What he really wants to say is "this is the worst team I've ever played on."

Plan your football viewing strategy for the weekend!

You can watch the :canada: kids :canada: play at 4 online before TFC to get you prepared or watch the replay on CBC after the TFC match. Either way, an extra game to soften the potential blow of Salt Lake away.

And then the girls on Sunday at 11:45am!!:canada:

And the Gold Cup Final is tomorrow at 9pm. Like it or not, that is going to be a good game. Mexico vs US, 90000 in the rosebowl. I'll definitely be flipping back and forth.

I gotta admit I wouldn't be interested at all in it last Gold Cup but now, if there was an MLS break for it, I'd watch it.

Finally some news about Omphroy. Love this kid, he's got a great attitude. I don't know why Winter hasn't given him a shot yet, but it sounds like he can score a couple goals when needed as well?

I completely agree...

If the MLS was on hold for the tourny, I'd be right into it - even with Canada out...

Lucas Neil looks like he's coming to MLS...He was a pretty decent CB in his time in the EPL, but at 33 he gets beaten easily for pace...Hope we don't want him....DC United said to be the most interested...

CBC and Sportsnet are picking up these games. Not sure which of their channels though. Or, you can watch it on the big screen at Yonge-Dundas Square. :canada:

TFC Saturday evening is on GOL TV & MLS MatchDay Live

The complete Women's FIFA WorldCup is being shown on CBC and/or Sportsnet, as well as streamed live at CBC. Here's the schedule: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/soccer/fifawomensworldcup2011/schedules/broadcast/

Canada's first match is on CBC & streamed at cbcsports.ca

EDIT: In fact, after looking through the schedule, it looks like all of Canada's games will be live on CBC.

he's got more footy smarts than most defenders in MLS. will organize defence and leadership (wasn't he Blackburn, West Ham and Australian captain?)

Coming from one of the few players in our club who has never "phoned one in", or "had his head somewhere else", I'll take Frei at face value. After all, he bears the consequences of most mistakes made on the field and he still stands up for his team mates. Some people should be taking notes.
