One of our Academy prospects?
Lord knows we need more players on the bench right now.

A young Kristian Jack?

Was there one of these in the parking lot?

I thought maybe an academy player, I looked on the website but they don't seem to list squad numbers for the academy team anymore.

They list the players, but no pics.

How was the turnout for the practice today? Don't they usually do these things on the weekend?

Three academy players turned out from the reserves for the game before the practice, maybe he was one of them? I've looked at the pics from the academy games on RR's site, but no one quite looks like this guy. TFCA seems to very few fair haired players.

I liked it better when the team leaked like a sieve.

He did not play in the Reserves match. I was there for the last 70 minutes of the reserves match and this mysterious #39 was nowhere to be seen. I have reached out to the club. Hopefully I can get some sort of official response from them.

Wait a minute.

I just realized if him practicing with TFC would contravene NCAA rules.

NCAA rules are pretty archaic when it comes to amateur vs. professional interactions.

Saw him at BMO today. QUite impressed with his technical abilities. A good development background too it seems, and familiarity with coaches. Could be GenAdidas player next season?

No,he is ok as long he doesn't play for academy or reserve/1st team.

Yes,he will be Gen Adidas next year.

After touring Holland with Sigma in 2007, Bekker impressed the coaches at famed Ajax. He was invited to train and ended up staying most of the following year. Coaches at Ajax at that time were Winter/DeKlark

Thought NCAA rules say it's ok for him to play Academy/Reserve/1st Team if he doesn't sign a pro-contract. Matt Stinson went NCAA after TFCA.

And they've stated that you can play alongside pros so long as you are not on a pro contract.

Wondering why though he was wearing a jersey with a number on it when some of the Academy players there were not wearing one?

If you say so,I'm not that much familiar with NCAA rules.

Thanks.

NCAA rules are fucked.

I remember at one time NCAA athletes weren't allowed summer jobs (don't know if that's the case still) because what would stop some donor from giving a guy a $50K job in the summer.

I know if hockey once you play a CHL game you're considered professional because you're playing against guys who have signed pro contracts. (I guess you can practice with professionals.)

But it's all messed up.

Maybe another silly MLS/NCAA rule.

They changed within the last year or so. Used to be unable to play alongside Pros, now it's different.

Does he average 3 goals per game? Cause we'll need him to.

You weren't allowed to have a job during the year if you were on a full ride.

I think it extended into the summer.

I remember friends of mine working at hockey schools as instructors but they couldn't be "publicized" about it in case someone caught wind of it.

kyle bekker is technically good, but super weak on the ball
