The great thing about MLS is that success and failure is usually a cyclical thing rather than something close to preordained like in certain European leagues. Five years from now TFC could easily be a dominant team, while the Galaxy struggle and in any given game surprises can and do happen. In this game though the back four is going to be an issue. With no Attakora (possibly?) is the answer Sturgis or Henry alongside Harden? Not sure on that. Something has to be done about attacking central midfield after the last game. If Sturgis plays at centre back maybe Yourassowsky slides in beside Tchani and Santos (hopefully?) can be used in behind Gordon at centre forward. If those two adjustments work well good things might happen in results terms. Hopefully Eckersley going off late in the game last time was no big deal. He provides a lot going forward on the overlap.

You never know. Sometimes getting a team away from their home base is just what they need.

Juninho being out is a huge plus for us. I think he's been playing quite well for LA. Donovan is also be out of the lineup as he's in the Gold Cup. Two big hits for LA.

This could be one those times we can steal a point away against a better team.

Bodes well for the future that sort of thing didn't happen this time given Bruce Arena is widely believed to be the best that MLS has to offer in coaching terms. Looks like the danger of Winter doing a Gullit and walking away is receding. It will be interesting to see what if any new options the transfer window provides. One more player that can provide something up front in an Angel at RBNY or Schelotto at the Crew sort of way (i.e. what you are normally supposed to try to do with a DP signing) could make a big difference to this team.
