So I got an email today from MLSE titled:

"Your Second Half Single Match Pre-Sale"

I decided to reply out of frustration. I sent back:

"Why would I buy any single game tickets because:

1) The football on the field is crap
2) I can get tickets for less than face from a ton of places"

Surprise suprise I got a call from my ticket rep. I couldn't speak to him as I was in a meeting but he said he'd call back after 4. I think more of us need to do this so MLSE hears our frustration.

Love it!

Its funny how management has been raising prices because of their belief in the undying devotion to the club the fans have.

I find it funny that they raised prices because of this, because if the fans had the undying devotion that the decades old clubs of europe and the rest of the world have then a few people in those offices would need police escorts to and from work.

I am by no means condoning the type of behavior European fans use to get their points across, (they are fucking crazy in Europe, I've seen it first hand) but I just find it very very funny how stupid the people are that have been running this club

i'd be interested to hear his pitch to counter your 2nd point.

I'm guessing some PR bullshit about how they are working to change the culture of the team, with some Academy talk thrown in and possibly a hint of a summer DP.

Probably tell you they are frustrated too, but don't you worry, we are on our way to being the best organization in MLS!

We need your support to make all of this possible!

I walked up and bought a ticket at the box office for the first time on Saturday. It made me sad.

hehe.. you've inspired a similar reply from me:

No dice.

I'm already reconsidering my renewal and don't think for a second that a price freeze is going to remedy the situation.

Martin

you can probably get them on stubhub for cheaper, or from people on the board for free (or for the price of a beer). that made me a strange mix of happy and sad.

So it appears as if the TFC lacky's are acting just like the team...great in intent but piss poor in execution. It's 5:15 and alas no follow up phone call.

Pity.

Maybe the rest of the organziation is rebuilding too.

Wow. One of the first things you learn in sales is that when you say you're going to call someone at a certain time - you better fucking call.

Maybe sales in my industry is too demanding, but if I did that and it got back to my boss; there would be hell to pay. Do that when your numbers are not up and you might as well start packing your stuff.

These poor ticket reps. Their situation is hopeless. Go easy on the guy. MLSE has ruined their livelihoods. It's just a hobby for us.

Singing along to it TFC style gave me a bit of chills.

Fuck that would something worth paying MLSE prices for.

the ticket reps are essentially powerless. They can (and do) report up the chain, but there's nothing they can individually do. One the complaints go up the chain, things can happen (like the town hall meetings)

all I know is that if the team tanks again this year, there will be an interesting fall.

I fully understand they are in a tough spot. I work in sales and know the front line people usually take the direct heat when customers are pissed. I know this all too well. :) But that's no excuse for doing your job poorly. If you tell a customer you're callin them back, show the customer the respect and do as you promised.

I sent my ticket rep an email wanting to buy tickets (red seats) for a friend who has never been to a TFC game before and I am still waiting for my reply It's been over a month. .

when i was on the seasons list and then went on the rampage that i did about the g20, i sent some rather nasty stuff, they asked for my number as it was wrong (turns out it was), but they never called or e-mailed me back

They would probably just use it to market the team/supporters.

Then promptly put a bunch more sanctions on us.

Twats, every single one of them.

Yeah, I know but I wanted a seat in a specific part of a specific section. Let's say it was an experiment.

hey fellows, you should totally not give up the chance to pick up tickets for the second half of the season. i heard it through the vineyard that there's a designated player on the way. plus, that handsome devil of an executive tom anselmi has been tweeting something about a roof!!
