Nobody said it was easy (http://www.wakingthered.com/2011/5/1/2146521/seattle-sounders-3-0-toronto-fc-nobody-said-it-was-easy), but bloody hell that was a rough game.

I think the paper version of the star took the most humane way out. I'll post their report in full.

Toronto FC dropped a 3-0 decision to the Seattle Sounders Saturday night.

That's all they wrote. Online they just have a report copied from someone else that's about 6 sentences long.

a performance as half arsed as TFC's was.

I'd like to know too. I saw him on the bench... woulda been good for at least 45 minutes considering he played on Wed. Gargan looks bad home and away. Eckersley must be better than Gargan. I mean, I'd rather see Omphroy at right back at this point.

According to Luke Wileman, Eckersley wasn't dressed. Ya, he's better than Dan.

My bet with Eckersley is that fieldturf is an issue

Re-Eksersley I heard it was a work-visa issue....Can anyone confirm that?

That's entirely possible. I just wish the club would let us know.

Visa issues was the first thing that came to mind for Ecks, no fitness issues as far as we know.

If it wasn't a visa issue, I hope it wasn't a disciplinary benching, we don't need that kind of drama. We already have more drama than a Shakespeare festival.

Wouldn't that have been worked out before he played in the Columbus match last weekend?

I think it's more an issue of playing in the US, not at home.

Still strikes me as very odd that these things don't get worked out quicker, especially considering half the games we play are in the US.

Like it was at Commonwealth Stadium?

two games on turf within four days and he's on loan?

but yeah whatever....he played at commonwealth so he's probably happy to play the rest of the season on the stuff.

Also playing two road games on fieldturf in four days couldnt possibly lead to half assed. crappy, over-fatigued performances could it?

I'll bet the fieldturf has been a hot topic in the locker room, but MLS teams and players arent discussing it publicly anymore.
