No OBW Sat. I'm glad we don't have to see him do the triumphant return that so many other ex-toronto players have done. He was progressing quite well for Seattle. Bad luck for him.

And what's with the SSG today? She wears more clothes to the SSG photo shoot than she does to work as a UFC ring girl...

I guess that depends on how much of a fan you are of weddings in general.

I have to say, Mullan's suspension is certainly justified.

It's totally possible that he's ended Zakuani's career. Not quite deliberate intent to injure (like Bertuzzi in hockey), but certainly reckless.

Definitely a fan of weddings in general... when they involve friends and family.

Otherwise, this one falls into the Entertainment Tonight "infotainment" kind of news.

the sun actually went with the "catches a break" joke? ah the sun.

10 games is way too much. that guy who booted ruiz in the head got ten games, no way this should have been the same as that.

Royal Wedding Woes: I watched the royal wedding from start to finish. It was shorter than I thought it would be and sort of entertaining. I don't think I will pay attention to the next one. I think this is a movie I watch once and then check it off for the rest of my life.

OBW Injury Woes: I guess he is out of contention for "The ex-TFC Striker of The Year" award. The qualifications for this award are fairly low and the strikers have to reach a minimum of ten goals in one season for another team after leaving TFC.

I don't think you can vote anyone other than Jack Layton at this point. Ignatieff is a sad fucking joke. Harper has already made his 1 unforgivable mistake that he can't recover from in Canadian politics.

Well, I'm no fan of weddings. And I'm no fan of the royals. So put two and two together and... well, you know.

or....

legalize it > suffer massive trade restrictions from our more 'conservative' neighbors to the south > go bankrupt

that's as plausible as eliminating our deficit.

yeah, that part really has no bearing on me (I don't like the stuff)
but I know that if Canada legalized it.... there's be a large wall on BOTH of America's borders.

That wall has grown much higher and stronger since 9/11 and continues to grow, legalizing pot won't have much more an effect on it.

I liked OBW, but I just didn't see that much upside with him. He's 25 and still not an established goal scorer, and unfortunate for him but I can't help but think he has no luck and is injury prone.

DO you people not REMEMBER Layton on Toronto council!! What a knob!
And as for Olivia Chow as First Lady, I would be sore tempted to move somwhere a little less strident - mainland China for example....

Ah what's politics without a little hyperbole...

If only politicians talked about what they want to do as much as they complain about what others have done.

Parky, if they start a trade war, we counter with sanctions on anything involving Elisha Cuthbert. If that doesnt do the trick, then maybe something less important like Oil, Nat Gas, Aluminum, Coal, Wheat, Water

"He didn't come back for you"

"How do they intend to pay for all of those promises?"

Only one person to vote for in my mind, and no, it's not Pedro.

My only problem with Harper is that the bastard is probably a Southsider.

Ummm... that's a provincial move, so it would be the Ontario liberals and McGuinty

the feds tried talking all of the premiers who didn't already have hst into joining in, which bc and ontario ended up doing. so both the federal conservatives and the provincial liberals are to blame for the hst.

Ummm... that's a provincial move, so it would be the Ontario liberals and McGuinty

Harper blackmailed McGuinty to do the HST move. McGuinty obliged because he needed the extra revenue.

So I blame both of them.

Since it is estimated that the BC green to be worth 8+ billion dollars a year to Canada's economy, that's a hell of a lot of tax money.

Besides, America is screwing us on lumber, oil and water deals. If they want to make a fuss, turn off the taps. There are other countries who would be happy to take our natural resources, maybe even at market value.

But honestly, can we please keep politics out of football related threads. It's as bad as talking about religion.

Thanks Roogsy - I don't want to have to avoid TFC news as I to the comments sections from our newspapers which turn into a constant bitch session back and forth, with Harper is a $%#$%, and the Libs and a bunch of @#$#@, and the NDP will flush us down the crapper, and Harper supporters are a bunch of CON jobs and Iggy supporters are a bunch of LibTards...

There is an off-topic thread where you can bitch at each other all you want.
