DC vs NYRB has potential to be entertaining as Henry finally broke out and had a goal and two assists vs SJ previous game.
Colorado vs Seattle game should also be pretty good. Portland has won two at home, but can they it away? Esp with a leaky defence

well I'm going to put NYRB on the same level as RSL as legit scary good teams in MLS. I expect big things from both during the regular season (NYRB have conceded only 16 goals in the last 26 reg season games, RSL has that 30+ match unbeaten streak at home)

Since when did Goal TV start showing MLS games from Fox Soccer Channel, I thought they only showed games from ESPN. They are showing Seattle at Colorado that just started getting the feed from Fox Soccer Channel. Colorado playing a man down already, Seattle's Zakuani was tackled in the first few minutes of the game by Brian Mullen and Zakuani had his leg broken.

anyone know of any examples of soccer players who had that kind of injury and came back to play again?

The last soccer player that I can remember with that kind of injury was Preston Burpo in 2010 for New England. He was a veteran keeper, and has not returned to playing.

Re: NE - KC, Nice assist from Feilhaber on the first goal. He played as the attacking mid in a 442 with Joseph playing as striker. 3-2 New England final.

It had all the au courant MLS aspects: weird red card (check); penalty in the box that certainly wasn't a penalty and that lead to a goal (check); taunting of the [strange military NE] fans by a goal scorer (check), and goal scorer throws his shirt into the stands... for a yellow (check).

About adaptability and the TFC 4-3-3 debate: Steve Nicol has now used 4-5-1, 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 formations this season. Not that their record is much better than ours though.

I believe it was Paul James who correctly noted that the formation matters less than having the right characters to play the formation. This is not to say tactics don't matter but all the tactics in the world mean nothing if your team consists of players who don't make the right decisions with the ball and don't fight with heart.

Today I saw some positives from the squad and I felt we were robbed of 3.

DC were shown how much their win here was worth when they went home and got stomped by NY who are putting things together, looking so offensive vs a weak DC team.

Colorado would've probably got the home win with such weak effort from Seattle. The Mullan tackle and red card in the first min set the tone that carried throughout the game. Montero's goal was so lucky and his other chance just proved how rusty he still is.

Chivas looked great in SJ with a heel of a head from Labrocca. This match looked to be a back and forth affair that saw plenty of action. You could see this one going either way but Chivas was just the last to score.

Dallas ran that game in Vanny and they were lucky for that incredible arcing header to start the scoring but that game had the feeling the longer it went the more one sided for Dallas it would become. Vancouver made them look like the finalists they were last season.

NE over KC was great to see. Hate that Kamara.

Good on Houston to come back away at Chicago. It seemed an even match with the right result.

Barrett. Well good for him. I'm not saying he's en route to his best season ever but it is starting to work out for him. LA had the game wrapped up pretty early.

And it seems Winter's system is relatively flexible... we had 6 defenders on the pitch with 10 men on Saturday (and at times 5 of them were actually at the back). And in general things are looking like we have many more possibility than the first game, for sure.

So the league came down hard on Mullan as he was given the longest suspension in league history with 9 additional games. That makes the total 10 games not playing for the hit on Zakuani.
