I got a great mood uplift today walking home as the whole downtown core has been enveloped in a rolling, boiling fog. Above the sun is shining brilliantly and the downtown core looks like it is going up in flames.
The smile that grew across my face was because this scene mirrors exactly that wild night back in year 1 when we beat the Dead bulls and the city looked identical. Do you remember how wild it was as the fog rolled in over the south stand during the game?
The air was so thick everything was twice as loud as usual. It was the first time i could here the NEE clearly. It was surreal as was our performance as we avenged NY's earlier win and held Angel shotless. I remember standing beside a guy from Holland who was visiting with his cousin and he was blown away by the atmosphere. Let's hope our players and us can impress a couple of other Dutchmen a time a two before the year is out.
This freaky sky just lifted my spirits with the memory of easily one of my top 5 TFC games ever.
Hope you remember it too.
