I wonder where MLS will want him to go, if he comes.

NY is poised for a second team aren't they? Big TV market there. Would prop up the interest in the NYRBs as a secondary benefit.

Beckham retiring? LA? West coast seems like a stretch as attendance and interest there is already strong through Vancouver down to LA.

According to Parkdale, he has made clear that he wants to finish his career in France. Someone here is full of shit.

I don't think it matters. A player of Drogba's caliber would go where he wants, and the league will make it happen. 4th DP slot to New York this summer?

Still think he'll go back to Marseille.

And you sir, are a winner - from the goal.com article

according to The News of the World.

Believing anything from there is about the same believing the latest on Brangelina that you read in the supermarket checkout.

Seriously, discounting this for that reason seems short sighted.

A shame he won't play here as he's the type of striker most likely to succeed in MLS. Fast and strong.

The "scoop" came from News of the World. Nothing else needs to be said.

Is it possible he could eventually end up in MLS? I guess. But that still doesn't mean this story has any credibility.

He has always made it clear he would want to finish in Marseille, however I could see him being interested in coming over here for the summer.

LA, NY. Montreal a long shot 3rd choice. Nowhere else.

We've all heard a lot of rumors over the past 5 years, and I think this whole topic is a leftover from April fools day.

Drogba has said in a number of sources that he will end his career in Marseille.
If he thinks that he can slide two years of MLS soccer in there prior to the return,
well good for him, but I have serious doubts that Didier Deschamps would take
him after that.
