Not really, the offense has looked nice the last two games, but the majority of it was run through DeRo. Take his 14-15 goals, and creativity out of the line-up this season and you're left with an average offensive side, and a mediocre defensive side. Even if we did bring someone in to replace him, if they aren't from MLS, they'ed need time to adjust to the league, etc. Not the greatest move when there was some optimism surrounding the club this week.

Trying to be objective about this...If this kid Tchani really is one of the most talented young attacking midfielders in the league, and Borman can help stabilize the backline, the overall package (including the 1st round pick) might benefit TFC long term.

In the short term though, this really stings and could leave a gaping hole in our lineup in terms of offensive production. I really liked the way DeRo was playing in Winter's offensive scheme.
