DeRo has a contract ... end of story, lets move on.
If his manager and TFC want to talk leave em to it.

Gee... St. Patricks Day... I was hoping for a red headed colleen as SSG.

From the Sun article: "De Rosario tip-toed around the subject in a way that would make the cast of Black Swan envious, but the fact remains that FC needs to mend these wounds before it’s too late."

Do these morons realize what they're writing? "The fact remains that football club needs to mend these wounds before it's too late?"

Why are people who know obviously so little about the game as to not understand naming conventions allowed to write about it?

In other news, encourage you to pop onto the TFC web site and watch the Adrian Cann interview from the media day. Things get really awkward when he's asked about having to play with Alan Gordon, who broke Cann's nose last season. Not sure Cann's too thrilled..

Can't decide if she's good looking or not.

We'll settle for "she's an ok SSG"

Isn't EA Sports based in Vancouver??

Is this the equivalent to a quote being written on the board in the dressing room for "inspiration" ... for both teams!

I can see it now in the Vancouver locker room "The video game said we won so how hard can it be"

by some of the prognostications going on about TFC and Vanny, I'm shocked they only beat us 1-0 at their home! ;)

Come on Vancouver, you amazing, perfect team that does everything right and will take MLS by storm, you can do better than that!

They have the brilliant Paul Barber at the helm and they only beat us 1-0?? For shame.

Did you notice this?!

He scored 13 of the club’s 30 goals last season, played in 26 of 29 games for FC and is the captain and face of the franchise.

Compound that with the departure of forward Chad Barrett, who was traded to the LA Galaxy in January, and you have a lot of weight on De Rosario’s shoulders.

De Rosario tip-toed around the subject in a way that would make the cast of Black Swan envious, but the fact remains that FC needs to mend these wounds before it’s too late.

While the MLS is no NBA, it would be a shame to see this turn into a Carmelo Anthony-esque situation.

A mild crisis has been avoided, as De Ro said he will play in the season opener against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, but the hometown hero hasn’t spoken to what will happen for the other 28 games this season.

Red flags are going up, TFC management.

From today's Globe and Mail ... gotta say this surprises me:

>Still, the celebrated home opener (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/soccer/whitecaps-riding-the-crest-of-the-wave-into-mls-opener/article1945015/page2/#) – the local advertising campaign asks, “Where will you be March 19?” – hasn't lured a sellout crowd. Local heroes such as former Canucks star Trevor Linden appear in the ads, but the Whitecaps remain a couple of thousand short of the 21,500 capacity.

Do MLS teams have to "Hold Back" any number of tickets for visiting supporters before releasing them to the local market??

I remember "The Don" mentioning that this topic was being discussed when he was asked about it at one of the supporters summits of the past few years. I wonder if the league ever did anything about this?

Why so small for the Whitecaps?

I thought capacity for Empire was 27,500?

I don't think Empire Stadium is ready for the Whitecaps just yet.
I think they are starting the season elsewhere.
Is that right you travelling supporters?

Empire is the temporary site...

With BC Place Stadium undergoing renovations, the BC Lions played their home games at a temporary field constructed on the former grounds of Empire Stadium during the 2010 season. The Vancouver Whitecaps, a future tenant at BC Place, will likely play the first few months of their 2011 MLS season at the site as well while renovations are completed.,

Once the temporary stadium is removed the park and smaller playing (sports) fields will be restored for community use. - wiki
