Come on out and support the Reds next Thursday, what a way to kickoff the season by coming down to Dundas Sqaure and cheering them on. Show your true colors and have your fun. It begins at 5 pm and runs to 9, so it will be a great time. What a great way to kickoff the fifth season celebration with the home opener just two days later.

Seems weird. Why wouldn't they do this on Saturday against Vancouver and have a giant F'n beer garden.

Take pic with Carlsberg MOTM trophy = no
Watch TFC on big screen and drink beer = yes.

^ You can count on me. It's a new season with new faces on the roster. As far as I'm concerned, it's up to us the supporters to make them feel welcome here in town.

See you bastards on Thursday!

What kind of PR department plans an outdoor beer event in March in Toronto? I don't think many people will hang around long for this event unfortunately.

I'll come down...

Won't be there for 5pm but I'll stop by on my way home from work...

I have a beer league match that night at 10pm - so a beer beforehand sounds like a perfect idea, no? :drinking:

Plenty of outdoor events happen in the Winter-Spring-Fall months...

To say planning something outdoor in March is foolish and therefor everything must happen in the summer (or late spring / early fall) is just foolish...

Might as well move to Florida...

I can say for sure I do not, I just love sports related event and parties, a good time for sure. It is just all about having fun and enjoying things, that is what TFC is about to me regardless of the results of the games, I know losing is never fun, I can say that for sure from first hand experience. I view it as if you are not having fun why the heck are you not going to the games.

I just popped down there at 5pm to see what is happening.
Not much yet, the players won't arrive until 7pm, they are giving out free beer in little plastic shot cups. It's freezing out there, I just came back to work to warm up...

^ You know why that is? We were all told the thing kicked off at 5pm and that's when everyone showed up. At 5:15 they made the announcement that the players would be showing up 2 hours later.

I'm sure I'll get blasted by some for always looking for things to bitch about, but I spent about three hours in traffic and on the subway with a 2 year old in tow just to see the team show up when the club said to be there, so I'm actually rather pissed off right now.

I showed up at 5pm after work but left after they said the players would show up two hours later at 7pm.

They should have said in the e-mail - Players will arrive at 7pm.

I would have been there and brought the kids but school nights suck for weekday evening stuff. If the kids didn't miss so much school from being sick I would have given them Friday off.

It was definitely very quiet, and disappointing in some ways, though i enjoyed being able to at least have brief conversations with players and Aaron Winter and get autographs from Winter, DeRo and Frei.
