Montreal defender Adam Braz retired Monday to become the Impact's team manager.
Braz, a nine-year veteran who spent seven years in Montreal, helped the Impact win championships in 2004 and 2009.
The 29-year-old, who also suited up with Toronto FC in 2007, started 121 of 145 career games.
Braz also played with the Canadian men's team at all age levels, including 12 games with the senior team between 2004 and 2007.

Probably the worst player I have had to endure at BMO field. Can't understand how this guys ever made a career out of playing Soccer.

This is going to make Vancouver's Canada Cup run a wee bit tougher.

He wasn't the best that's for sure. The worst? I don't think I'd go that far.

Marco Reda was even worse than Adam Braz.

As a Canadian, I am embarressed that that he suited up for the CMNT and to a lesser extent TFC.

Certainly better than Velez.

Certainly better than Velez.

Not even close. Velez made mistakes, but was part of the central defense that didn't allow a goal at BMO for 10 straight matches, and was dangerous up front.

He wasn't suited for the MLS but if you watched him against some of the Mexican opposition the Impact faced that one seasons they had that run, he was perfectly fine and composed. It had a lot to do with MLS' style of play.

Maybe TFC will unveil a red number 3 on the Cinesphere, marking the spot where a number of his shots on goal landed, in his honour.
