Maybe the fine, certainly-not-corrupt folks at the International Association Football Federation (FIFA) could yet walk to the podium and say, “None of the above,” or perhaps there is still time for a late, blank-cheque entry from Qatar.

I'm happy for Vancouver footie fans. It's their turn. We got TFC and shortly after the U-20 final and now they get MLS and the Women's final.

Toronto shouldn't fret though, we'll see Canada play live before then.;)

Morning D (and everyone else)

It's too bad about Gomez. I wonder how much of it has to do with his knee injury? He seemed capable of playing CD in the little we saw of him. I guess Winter and Co. see Doneil Henry as good or better.

Was kinda hoping I could catch some the Women's WC matches close to home, but I guess I'll have to do with the Pan-Am Games instead.

Can't say I'm surprised about Gomez, but still sucks. Terrible to see a career hampered by an injury like his has been.

No games at the "National Soccer Stadium" for a world cup event? Only in Canada.

Even though people will be pissed initially, remember the U20 tournament in 2014 come with the 2015 WWC and that tourney could serve as a test for both the WWC and the Pan-Ams.

Also I think its a good idea to focus only the Pan Ams in toronto because otherwise people would go to one and the other would be empty (and in the end, neither of these events should be subjected to sports consumer fatigue)

I can see me not being interested in the PAN AM games at all... except for the Footy, like.

I know the guy who wrote that. It's going to be a weekly feature, not just a one time thing.

Judging by your grammar and sentence structure, I will assume you've experienced "cousin lov'n" first hand?
