I'm sure we're giving them a great impression of the quality of the club.

I'm sure they know we're being robbed right now.

In what way? Are you blaming the refs, or robbed by the Whitecaps goalie?

We need Hucks bad. We should play two strikers all the time.

Only redeeming thing from today's game might be Huckerby being impressed by our supporters and promptly signing and thus shipping Cunningham far far away.

One Eric.

Do you actually know the song Get Me On The First Thing Smoking? The country tune. The original, by Tom Russell. Great lyrics. A proper hurtin' song for a day like today. An excerpt:

This here's the land of stolen ponies
Rattlesnakes and poison water wells
Each god-forsaken mile leads right to heaven
But tryin to please that woman it was hell

CHORUS
Put me on the next thing smokin
Put me on the next train out of here
This heart ain't made for bein broken
Well she ain't my conductor
And she aint my engineer

Put me on the next thing leavin
The northern or the southern hemisphere
Put me on the next thing smokin
Put me on the next train outta here

If you ever wanted to get rid of a player, modifying these lyrics slightly - 'him' for 'me' -would leave you with an absolutely stinging way of say 'Vamos, vaquero.'

At this point...I will take him.

Anyone really.

So long as he can score.

The question is...can he? I have never followed Huckerby...at this point, that is all I want to know. Can he score? Because we are in DIRE need of someone who can put it in the back of the net.

I can tell you Hucks looks to be in great shape. I think he would rip this bitch up. Not to mention that Robert and Guevara and Ricketts would have someone useful to aim at... haha

He was the better of the two CMs today, saying next to nothing for Carl. These guys are really hurting the team. They're fucking invisible....until they give the ball away.

edu was brutal today...

I agree.
I find it odd that certain players play so poorly but seem to be imune from internet wrath.
Sutton is #1 on that list for my money and Edu is #2.

Maybe most people are converted hockey fans? That might explain it.

I just found Edu wasn't doing much today.. floating around... some bad passes... I think Wynne has improved more from last season to this than Edu has.. and Edu was getting all the national team hype. He looks lost out there.

Let me add a few. Robinson, Guavera and Brennan had serious difficulty placing the ball today.

Can we put to rest the idea of playing brennan in the midfield. He was shit today and was lucky not to be sent off.

Carl Robinson should never, ever, ever shoot toward the net....ever.

Just not what you're paid for Carl....don't do it!

Hucks would be a star in this league - he's fast and would play well of Dichio.
BUT -he's as bad as Cunny when it comes to offside calls....always a yard off, tho' Cunny looked onside on the 'goal' today- watched it in freezeframe and there was no daylight between him and the Shitecaps defender

The plan was to impress him so much he wouldn't make it there. I guess we'll know soon.

What can SJ do to impress him more other than to pay him more?

Supporters brought our A-game today! It was nice to see despite the puke on the pitch. Hopefully he gets harrassed at the airport in SJ/SF and turns around to come "home" to T.O.
