TFC's aim for a 3rd straight V-Cup starts by running through Edmonton FC.

"The Edmonton Sun has learned there will be such a game for fledgling FC Edmonton against Toronto FC Wednesday April 27 at Commonwealth Stadium."

Vcup. I just want the USL/NASL CSL/whatevernextL to get sorted so we can build already.

Yes, a Dutch coach who pushed his team to a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth and a 4-3 loss againest Colo-Colo last summer. Edmonton FC is surprizngly good and it won't be easy for the boys.
Be that as it may, I know of at least one RPB who will be at the game. :D

they still have snow in Edmonton in aprilLate April? Highly unlikely.

I know Twistedchina is from Calgary and I think Jloome is an Edmontonian too? There are about a dozen or so other Albertans here whom I can't remember right now.

This date fits in the schedule well

Sat 4/23 The Crew at BMO
Wed 4/27 EFC in Edmonton
Sat 4/30 Sounders in Seattle

So we don't have to fly out to Edmonton and right back again.

Would be good to have the Seattle game moved to Sunday.

Just read that the EFC BMO game is Wed May 4th so the Seattle game is okay on the Sat

Ah, just a drive up the old QEII, although I echo the worries about weather, last year we had snow in June. That said I am looking forward to the match. I wonder if Commonwealth Stadium still has grass?

Nope they put in brand new turf last year.

Looking forward to this game, though the weather maybe in an issue. I've only been in Edmonton for one year but I can tell you there is no spring or fall here, only winter and 3 months of summer.

ya serious, it fits 60,000 seats, id be suprised if 20,000 people show up to watch so its not even an issue. Also not many toronto FC fans will make the trip, its far away and most people can only maybe do a few road trips a year and probably save it for a bigger match like the V-Cup final, MLS season match or a playoffs match(if that ever happens).

Guys, the place will be a total sell out. I mean, seriously, what else is there to do in Deadmonton? Go to the mall??

Sounds like Oberhausen. From now on, im referring to the team as Blau-Weiss Edmonton, perhaps suggesting the other major activity..

Don't discount that there are lots of TFC fans in Edmonton/Calgary/Saskatchewan/Manitoba who would gladly pay minimal to get to Edmonton compared to flying into southern Ontario to watch a match.

Hopefully RPB/TFC ensures an away support section is set-up and advertises where that is for all TFC fans attending. Not that I think there is a security risk. But it will heighten the in-game experience of TFC fans who make the trip.

Based upon the photo it will be murder to spot any TFC fans in red.

As someone who lived in edmonton/calgary for 6 years...the odds of having snow in late April is probably 30%...hell I remember playing in July and WE GOT SNOW FLURRIES ONE NIGHT!!!!

If I'm not mistaken there have been some RPB's at every TFC match thus far (CCL), some people will go. Also a lot of people like being on the maiden voyage to an away match.

You are right that I don't see a mass trip to Edmonton.
