I thought he became the head of our scouting after he played that 1 shorthanded game for us in 2008? I never heard any mention of him again afterward...

He is still with the club in his position of head scout.

If you go down to where it says 7:30-9:10 in bold, he is mentioned briefly, saying "They assured us the Tim Regan, TFC's head of scouting, is busy preparing for the Expansion Draft, Superdraft, combine and free agency in the next few months."

^ thanks for the info!

TFC hasn't reaped any fruits of his labour yet... or have we?

When you think of the strong drafts in TFC history the first guy you should think of is Tim Regan. He has spent a lot of time watching developing players and there are few in the business anywhere near as good.

He would have likely been the one that discovered Sanyang and Gomez.

^ I don't think so. They were touted by an agent to a couple teams in the league. I get the impression that Regan mostly does NCAA.

Regan main thing is NCAA teams ie draft prep with evaluations of players already in the MLS thrown in for good measure. Head of North American scouting would be an accurate description of his position with the Reds.
