This waffle story was all over the radio this morning. Charges have been laid by the coppers, etc. it's a pity leaf fans can't organise themselves. It'd be hard to charge everyone if they all threw waffles on the ice and MLSE would ave to think long and hard before they attempted anything like it.

To develop the argument I would say that at some point, somebody had to be the first person to throw a hat onto the ice in order to celebrate the achievment of a player scoring 3 goals (well, duh). The notion took off and the event became known as a 'hat-trick'. This became widely accepted and I suspect no-one has been charged for participating in the act.

Here's my point : I would submit here that similar circumstances are afoot, however for different reasoning. A waffle thrown out on the ice would appear to indicate a poor overall performance of the team on the ice. Not singularly as the fault of the players themselves - as they cannot be wholly responsible for the general lack of talent - but also that of ownership and management who assembled and continue to steer the operation.

The only real consideration is to not throw the waffle during play, but rather wait until the game ends and have at it. This way there's little concern for player injury... and you'd be sure to see them flee the ice after the final whistle.

I'd like to see that.

wow..... I see 3 standing fans.

Hunter said the team had a tough game.

“We lost the game and the fans are showing their frustration. But only one person in 19,000 threw anything on the ice.”

but does he think that only 1 in 19,000 was absolutely let down by the team?

Pat Onstad, can't hire him because we already have a goalkeeping coach?

Does this mean that we wont hire a GM or Head Coach because we already have two? My guess, when Dasovic is down graded to assistant, he will want out and he will go to Montreal. Mark my words.

Richard Hastings is still unattached, wonder if he will retire and turn to coaching?

Holy shit! It had not dawned on me we are less than 90 days out from the first game. That realization does not make me feel too good about next season.

Onstad is from Vancouver. If he was with any Canadian club, it would be the 'Caps.

We are so far from being ready!

So is Vancouver. They only have 11 players, not all of them MLS quality.

Fair enough. And that may save our ass when we play them in March.

But I could care less about other teams and if they are ready or not. That's no excuse for us not being ahead of the game. In fact, it's a glaring opportunity for TFC to take advantage of.

In a league designed for parity on the field, TFC should be working to be miles ahead of every other organization in terms of front office, back office, scouting, academy, etc.

If we really want to be #1 we have to compete and be the best in every aspect of running a football club; not just the first team roster.

Kellog's Canada already released a press statement denying any involvement, so any mention of that would be libel (which is usually frowned upon).

My take on the coaching situation is that Klinsman was over-confident of his ability to get a good coach in place before Xmas like he said he would 3 weeks ago...I'll wager several have been approached and they all said "THANKS...BUT NO THANKS"...and so here we sit....

Maybe a couple were too expensive. Everyone knows TFC is desperate, so once Klinsmann identifies a guy as a candidate his asking price would go up. of course, there's no salary cap on managment and the season tickets all sold, so the team has the money....

True, although i wonder if this is going as smoothly as hoped.

Maybe our budget for a coach is ridiculously slow given everyone's expectations.
Or maybe Tom is dragging his feet holding up the whole process.

Is it too much to ask for this club to get it's shit together for the start of the season for the first time in five years?

They send emails out wishing happy holidays not Merry Christmas. No mention of Christmas, thus they don't have any Christmas tree.
