Maybe it's just the writing but Sturgis sounds anything but excited to me

I dont blame him. I don't think players ever want to get traded. Having to just stop what you are doing, and move yourself and family is never fun. He didn't sound too excited about the move, but it didn't sound as if he had the problem with Toronto. I expect once he gets on his feet here, he won't mind the move.

Agreed:

“As long as the club is helping you, it’s not too bad,” he said. Many players are excited to come here because of our support, but he's coming from Seattle which has much better support than here. There's really no upside for him.

He's coming to a team that was horrible last year, has no management in place and a fan base that was under siege from management, our best player is disgruntled and we have never had any success ever.

Haha, no argument there. On the other hand, Sturgis has the opportunity to assert himself as an integral part of the starting lineup in Toronto. In Seattle he would have been battling for a spot in the starting eleven...
