SSG: Very cute and very tight in the bikini:D

FREI PLAYS FULL 90 MINUTES: TFC propaganda machine trying to get the masses excited about a a game versus under 20 players. Generation Addidas 4:1 Atletico Madrid Reserves:rolleyes:

Atletico Madrid B:

Re-Entry Draft:

Joseph Ngwenya(RW/ST) to DC United
Aaron Holbein(CB) to Columbus
Good moves by both teams, I wish Ngwenya would have made it to TFC's pick, but I dont know how we passed on Holbein.

Not sure I agree with Mr Garder but a decent read for a slow newsday...

Very good article, and some great points made.

I'm always heartened when I hear talk of adding pizazz to the League without just adding over-the-hill European DPs.

And it was interesting to note that this was the lowest per-game scoring season in league history. Perhaps alarm bells are really going off in Don's office.

And with a lot of 'pizazz' DP strikers this season that shit the bed

I never watched the NASL. I was a toddler. The writer talks of pizazz but only cites the Cosmos. Did other teams play with pizazz? Like the Colorado Caribou or the San Diego Sockers?? You can't really cite just one team as your example for such a thing.

My dad had season's tickets to all Blizzard games during their time here. He became friends with one of the German players. He comes with me to all TFC games. He says the MLS quality is higher than what he remembered from the NASL. He said the stars were sometimes bigger in the NASL but teams from top to bottom in MLS play better. One time after a particularly good game by New England at BMO a year ago, he referred specifically to that -- there was a much more fundamental style that the ragtag play he remembered in the NASL.

I've watched some of those old clips of the NASL on youtube and I'm not convinced it was overall better. Small sample size, but it reminded me more of what the Australian soccer league looks like now.

There was a much more significant gap in qualtiy of player from top to bottom in the NASL. Sure, most of their careers were in their twilight, but fellows like George Best were able to dribble 'round entire defenses on their own before back-heeling past a perplexed goalkeeper. You know, much like DeRo continues to attempt to this day.

Hmmm... it's all becoming so clear to me now.
