read that. I didn't see enough of Gio in the MLS to determine if he was effective or not. I heard he played quite a defensive roll with the 'Quakes and we already have a DP that plays too much in the defensive end given his skill set

Could the Vancouver Whitecaps actually put together a deal for Robbie Keane?

I thought TFC were talking to him a couple of weeks ago. I guess he's shopping himself around the MLS...

Who wants to bet that Vancouver doesn't have a better team than TFC in GAME 1 of their inaugural season. I'll put money that they do.

He was a part of the reason wondo was successful. I think he could have been considered a mild success.

Not a lot of beautiful goals in here, but some very opportunistic finishing.

No, he was their offensive linchpin going forward. Wondolowski scored 11 of his 18 goals once they had Geovanni playing behind him, opening up space.

He'd be exceptional, very much a Guevara type player, marginally better work ethic. Bit of a headcase earlier in his career but seems to have settled down. Has the odd off day, like Guevara.

He's among the best set-piece takers in the league...off the top of my head, Beckham would be better at the finesse type dead-balls and Rafa Marquez better at the drill-it-home from distance type, but other than them Geovanni would be the best in the league I think.
