Includes a lot of detail on his NFL team, the stadium, and some of his many other ventures.

The new sports bar gets a big shout out (sound familiar?).

See if you can find any mention of the Revs or MLS.

Even though Kraft is a big wheel in MLS league governance, in terms of Revs operations I doubt he spends much time thinking about it. I'm sure, much like the Rapids for Kroenke.

In all fairness, the writer is using the NFL connection to make the article interesting, just like an article about ML$E might focus on the Leafs.

Still, its nice that Tom Anselmi spends time thinking about TFC, despite it being a drop in the bucket. That's to his credit.

Well, I'm sure Kraft has some guy who worries about the Revs for him, but the problem this league has, is that the MLS team doesn't matter to most of the owners in MLS.

^ No, but if MLS ever does take off and become popular a guy like Kraft will be a good asset. His "what's good for the league," approach, the 1/32 stuff they talked about and the line about the league only being as strong as its weakest franchise is probably the only way a soccer league can survive in north America.

Or maybe the league will die because guys like him care more about finding tenants for their white elephant stadium, and less about finding a suitable venue for the soccer team.

Sure that's possible, too, but there are only so many people willing to get involved in pro soccer in north America, right? It does seem like if the sport is going to survive it isn't going to do it on its own, it's going to be because the stadiums are linked to real estate deals and other things like that. Whenit comes to owners MLS can't really picky - and even if they could, they'd always think an NFL owner is the best.

How is it a "white elephant" stadium? Even with only 8 reg. season gates + pre-season he is making a clear operating profit with his NFL team ..... their gate is likely in the 15 million $/game range.

Maybe so, but he'll see an unused location that could be full 20, 30 or 40 nights more every year, through concerts and other sporting events. If even some money comes in it makes it even more profitable.

It's in a tough location, well away from the city, and they are looking for ways to bring more people out there more regularly. Great for NFL, not so great for other money making ventures.
