The 2010 MLS Cup Playoffs get underway Thursday night with a first leg quarterfinals match from Colorado, where the Rapids will take on Columbus (9 p.m., GOL TV Canada (http://www.goltv.ca/)).

I still care - Im just saying, I may not watch all the games but. . . I do.

I hope the SHITECAPS are watching too.. . . .I pledge that whatever the banner team decides to do for their visit to BMO. . I am getting behind it 110%

--------------

Columbus will be relying on backup goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum since starter Will Hesmer fractured his shoulder in the last game of the season - When he crushed the dreams of Toronto Fans by scoring the equalizer in teh FINAL minute of play

Knowing we're hosting the final has got to be the only way to generate interest in the rest of league for most here. This is the first season I've ever even considered watching a league game without TFC in it.

Not that I'd take time out of my busy sched for Columbus...

Know your opponent. It's always worthwhile to watch the games, if you have the time.

Personally, I'd like to see the C Rapids crush the KKKrew.

I'm going to try to watch all the playoff games so I know the struggle the final 2 went through to make it to BMO. I watched most playoff games last three years, and they were often very exciting.

I'm definitely going to give the playoffs a try, but to really get into it you need a team to support, or maybe just a bunhc of teams to boo.

Here's a handy guide for making that decision.

this may happen. Conor Casey and Omar Cummings is probably the deadliest strike duo in MLS

Mornin’

I will be watching the playoffs
Cheering for the good plays that the players make (except for Columbus)
And I will be going to the cup with my TFC kit.

"We haven't been stable enough the last couple of years and we need to build a culture of stability," said Tom Anselmi

"We need to get quicker, we need to get a little bit younger. I think we need to add some width [to the attack] and we need some depth in a number of different spots."

Well that doesn't really sound like we're planning stability through the off season, it sounds like half the squad needs replacing! What they need is stability at the GM and coach level, and stability in the key players, then stability in the squad players once they have got a good squad in place, but NOT stability in retaining poor players just for the sake of not changing them.

A shameless plug, but a good read Dunc! "Reasons to boo. The dirty hippy." Just one of a number of great lines. Not sure I can cheer for San Jose though. never really took to them. Seattle is my vote I suppose, but then again they did sign Ljungberg, one of the biggest kants to play in this league, and that's saying something, although they did then sack him off as well, which was nice to see. Overall I think your reasons to cheer for Seattle probably sway me though. I suppose that means if Seattle make the final I should go? Meh.... :D

Don't forget that the Crew's starting goaltender (Hesmer) is out for the rest of the playoffs with a broken shoulder.

I think they should stick with Gaven in net -- you know, for continuity and such. :D

I was impressed and jealous of Seattle, in a way I'm glad that they're having their own little price increase freakout now as well. good to see their owners are just as capable of greedy dumb moves as ours are. and yeah if Ljungberg was still there, that would be a big minus against them.

They need to replace our fullbacks and our wide midfielders. Four starting players.

Gargan, Usanov are decent backups.

The centre of the park will remain relatively the same I believe, DC's of Gomez, Harden, Cann and Attakora with our central mids being JDG/LaBrocca/Saric/Sangyang and DeRo, Santos and Barrett up top.

We need a playmaking central mid. DeRo is a striker, regardless of where he prefers to play. JDG is a shutdown guy. The rest aren't quality to start.

Oh, and two wings, two fullbacks, and a striker. And a coach. And a new front office.

What a shit show.

But they are sorry. And this time its going to be different.

Doesn't that make you feel better?
