"First off, I would like to thank all those Toronto FC Ultra Supporters that made the long drive west to support our players. I can assure you that the players definitely felt your presence and they were all excited to play in such an intense playoff like atmosphere." Academy coach

Not really MLS related, but wouldn't it be wonderful if MLS officiating would do this?

Anton McKenzie reported for work Sunday still none the wiser about what constitutes a penalty in the CFL, though he did learn the league is willing to admit an obvious error in the face of overwhelming evidence.
Director of officiating Tom Higgins said that though the league will not undertake its customary review until today, he spoke with Lions coach/ GM Wally Buono Sunday and told him the crew led by referee Bud Steen erred on a play which resulted in a touchdown in the Hamilton Tiger-Cats' 35-31 win Saturday.
A touchdown pass-and-run play by Maurice Mann was allowed to stand even though McKenzie was the victim of an illegal block by Hamilton's Peter Dyakowski.
"Games are officiated by humans. A mistake happened. It's counterproductive to do anything [publicly] beyond that," Higgins said Sunday.

"That was by far the best support that the Academy has ever received for a match and I can only hope that we will see more of that in the future. It is very important for (player) development that they play in front of such passionate supporters."

Im up for the playoffs..hopefully we can get an army together:hump:

This news article is only vaguely related to TFC but it illustrates the culture difference that our guys experience when they play away games in concacaf. This article refers to the Motagua goalkeeper who played at BMO field in July shooting a journalist who criticized him. What I can't understand is that there is no reference to him being criminally charged. Are journalists fair game in Honduras?

Motagua goalkeeper Donaldo Morales shot at reporter Saul Carranza with an air gun over criticism of his performances in the sports daily Diez.
