This will be very interesting.
If this happens, then alot of things will have to be implemented:

- Increase in Salary Cap
- Reserve league would HAVE to be back
- 4th round draft picks would make the squads?
- Increase in academy players getting signed?
- Increase in international roster slots

I would say the setup should be 26 players + 4 homegrown players

The salary cap has got to be increased regardless of roster size. It's difficult rewarding players that have played for many years and attracting new talent.

But with roster size increase the squad depth will finally be balanced with how many competitions there are.

Salary increase can be misused as we all know. Not saying the league doesn't need it but I would like to see the rosters increase more.

Any increase in anything is welcome.

Isn't the cap tied for 5 years? or can the CBA be negotiated early?

certain changes can be made each off-season.

But even in the CBA, they already stipulated those cap increases for the next five years.

The best thing they could do with respect to the salary cap is to completely remove the DP salaries from the calculation, or at least reduce the calculation to that of the average salary rather than max. salary.

Have you guys actually seen the new CBA? I have yet to see the actual document. The previous CBA said nothing about the total amount of the cap -- MLS reserved the right to choose that amount as they please.

Great ... Here we go more 30k players to join our already low paid bottom of the pack players..

Yeah, I think it is but it might be tied to the league minimum/maximum per player. So you have a salary floor for 24 players, but if you add six players it goes up incrementally for each player?

Maybe?

IIRC, the CBA basically can be increased, and not decreased.

Example the 'beckham rule" that was added into the fray of things, while the CBA was still on.
